Went out for dinner with the wife and daughter to celebrate my birthday a couple of evenings ago.
When I got back and checked the state of play on the Hive blockchain I found a comment from Hivebuzz on my most recent post congratulating me on my 5th Happy Hive Birthday.
Five years on the Hive blockchain already!
I started like everybody else with a big fat zero and have gradually built up to Dolphin status (last year) when it comes to Hive Power, and over $5k in HBD all without spending a single yen, cent or penny of my offline earnings.
I came to Hive via @jongolson who was a big advocate for the prior blockchain and of course for the Hive fork when it happened shortly after I got involved.
2020Vision
Back in 2020 the first project I took part in was the #2020Vision challenge by @pixiepost to post content every day. I've just had a look at some of my first posts, and to my utter surprise, my first five posts were made under the name of "minnify" - I have absolutely no memory of that account whatsoever, and I'm pleased to see that there isn't any Hive or HBD on the account. A lot has happened since those early days on the blockchain, and the pace of growth also picked up after the first two or three years. These days, apart from creating content on the blockchain I play Splinterlands every day, work with several 2nd tier projects, and am building up three or four liquidity pools.
Here's to the next five years! I wonder if I can get to the top of my HPB Freedom Ladder by then!
