Luckily your daughter did not suffer anything serious from the fall.
I hold my breath every time my kids go cycling to school in these conditions.
The best tips I can give when you suddenly feel you're riding on a slippery road is never brake, just stop pedaling and keep your steer straight.

    Yes - thank you for the tip. She was in a corner where the snow had accumulated - she miscalculated - so a lesson learnt.
    I understand you re. your children. I hold my breath most of the times as I find cycling in the city centre of Amsterdam somewhat daunting all year round. 😀
