One of the purposes of sharing battles is to showcase your skills. When I started splinterlands, I learned how to arrange battles from the articles other players posted.
I'm going to show you how to make use of Captain Katie effectively in a battle.
I will tell a story of Captain Katie
According to the stories, Katie was 5 years old when he stood at the bow of her Daddy's ship, holding onto the rail as the wave was moving the ship up and down in the AZMARE Sea. Despite the turbulence of the sea, Katie didn't care. She was bold and strong.
When Katie looked at her side she saw her father fighting with the wheel of the ship. She saw many people screaming, and tying the knot and pulling ropes.
When her father saw that Katie was at the edge of the ship, her daddy shouted “get away from the edge!”
She quickly responded and ran toward her father.
Her father said, “Katie*, hold me tight" she grabbed her father's leg and wrapped herself around his daddy's leg as she was taught. She knew she was safe holding her father's leg.
When the wave hit, and the ship capsized, Katie could not hold the leg of her father anymore. Katie was among the three souls that survived, her father died in the incident.
More than 20 years later, she became Captain Katie: she stood on the front deck of her airship, the wind was whipping her face, but she did not care. But most of the airship captains wear thick scarves on their face to prevent windburn.
She immediately when the ship of her father capsized and how she lost her father. And she wondered if he would be proud of her now sails in the sky.

Captain Katie was recently offered a handsome reward.
Flying is her passion, and fighting is her favourite hobby. She is very skills in all weapons of close combat and forms of physical defense
With what read about Captain Katie, her life experience made are so strong to the extent that she was the best airship in her region.
No wonder she fights like a warrior in battles: just like the battle I shared here today, she fought like a warrior.
Captain Katie is a bloodlust monster; this simply means that the more it kills the more power she has. Bloodlust monsters can't just be available in battle unless a player is given a rule that allows him or her to use it. Are you not entertained? rule is a rule that allows a player to use bloodlust monsters.
When a player also selects a bloodlust summoner like Helio Matriarch, Eternan Brune, Fembrook Nymph and Lobb Lowland.
When the aforementioned summoners are available, the player can use a bloodlust monster.
If ‘are you not entertained?’ rule and bloodlust summoners I use; players can use two bloodlust monsters in a battle; I have used such in battles.
Captain Katie is very sweet to use when an opponent did not use a taunt monster. Captain Katie sniped from the middle which makes her one of the sweetest monsters.
The magic attack of Captain Katie made her indispensable in this battle. If it was a melee monsters, it would have taken her second round to eliminate Venari Marksrat.

Are You Not Entertained?
You can summon one additional gladiator.
This simply means a player can use a bloodlust monster. As you can see in the battle, I used Captain Katie because the rule gave me a chance to use it. If I used a gladiator summoner, I would have had the opportunity to use 2 gladiator monsters.
Without this rule, I wouldn't have had the opportunity to use a gladiator monster.
‘Are you not entertained?’ gave both of us opportunity to used a gladiator monster
Fire & Regret
All units have return fire (return 50% of range damage to attacker, rounded up).
It simply means that when range monsters attack a monster and targeted health or armor is damaged, the attacked monster returns the attack. But at this point, only 50% of damage will be done to the attacker.
For example, if a 4 attack range monster in this kind of battle, its units will be damaged by 2.

👹Summoner👹
Tyrus Paladium

Ability: +1 additional armor to all friendly monsters
Mana: 3 ♂️♂️♂️♂️
To use Tyrus Paladium, it is very important to use *Captain Katie. I knew that I needed Captain Katie in my lineup and that was the reason I used Tyrus Paladium
The Addition of 1 armor made it difficult for melee monsters to attack the health of my monsters directly. If not because of the armor, two monsters would have been eliminated in the first round.
Additional +1 armor to all friendly monsters helped me a lot. That was the reason, melee monsters could not attack the health of my monsters directly.
If not this ability, some of my monsters would have been eliminated in one attack which could have given more strength to opponent's monsters.

Uriel The Purifier

Ability: 🌊Flying, 🏵️Recharge and 🏥Heal
Speed: 3⚡⚡⚡
Health: 11 ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Armor: 7 🪖🪖🪖🪖🪖🪖🪖
Attack: Melee
Mana: 11 ♂️♂️♂️♂️♂️♂️♂️♂️♂️♂️♂️
First position is the best for Uriel The Purifier. This is because it can only attack in the first position of this battle.
Uriel The Purifier's health is the second highest in my lineup, and its armor is the highest. Therefore, it won't be eliminated quickly in this battle.
The healing ability really supported Uriel The Purifier in this battle: if not because of the healing ability it would have been eliminated.
The flying ability made it possible for Giant Alpine Skink to miss the attack in round 2. At round 2, it's health was still 11.
At round 6 of this battle, Uriel the Purifier was still in this battle. However, it was eliminated in round 6.
Iziar
Splinter: Life 🛟🛟🛟
Level: 2⭐⭐
Ability: ♉Taunt and 🌋Void
Speed: 3⚡⚡⚡
Health: 14 ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Armor: 1 🪖
Attack: Melee
Mana: 11 ♂️♂️♂️♂️♂️♂️♂️♂️♂️♂️♂️
There were high chances of losing the battle without Iziar
I don't want monsters with smallest health to be eliminated in the battle and the best thing I could was to bring Iziar to the battle.
Inclusion of Iziar made all opponent's monsters to focus on it, and left other monsters in my lineup.
If not this lineup, Halfling Alchemist would have been the first monster to be eliminated in this battle.
Captain Katie

Level: 2⭐⭐
Ability: Snipe and 🏵️Bloodlust
Speed: 2⚡⚡
Health: 7 ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Armor: 1 🪖
Attack: Magic
Mana: 8 ♂️♂️♂️♂️♂️♂️♂️♂️
Captain Katieis the best monster to use in this battle. This was because my opponent did not use a monster with taunt ability.
At the round one, Captain Katie** attacked Venari Marksrat and it was eliminated; the moment it was eliminated, the adjacent monsters (Kulu mastermind and Isgard Vorst) increased their stats. The presence of River Hellondale with resurrect ability resurrected Venari Marksrat. Through, the stats of Captain Katie also increased.
At second round, it eliminate Venari Marksrat again. At this point the start of adjacent monsters (Kulu mastermind and Isgard Vorst*) increased and the magic of Captain Katie increased ( the magic of Captian Katie increased to 5)
At round 3, Captain Katie eliminated River Hellondale and it's magic increased to 6.
Doctor Blight
Splinter: Neutral
Level: 2 ⭐⭐
Ability: Affliction, Camouflage and 🤮Poison
Speed: 1⚡
Health: 4 ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Armor: 1 🪖
Attack: Magic
Mana: 4 ♂️♂️♂️♂️
Doctor blight's ability (Camouflage) could not allow opponent monsters to attack it. This monster can only be attacked when it leads the battle or when it is the only monster that remains in battle. If not because of the Camouflage ability, after elimination of Halfling Alchemist and Spirit Hoader, Doctor Blight would have been the next.
I used Doctor Blight to poison and afflict opponent's monsters in this battle. I knew it difficult sometimes to eliminate a monster with healing ability.
Spirit Hoader
Splinter: Neutral
Level: 1⭐
Ability: ✝️Triage
Speed: 1⚡
Health: 10 ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Armor: 1 🪖
Attack: Magic
Mana: 3 ♂️♂️♂️
Seriously! If my opponent use magic summoner in this battle, it would have been difficult to destroy Iziar. He used melee monsters in this battle!
Inclusion of Spirit Hoader was a strategy to increase the health of Iziar.
Spirit Hoader was eliminated in round 4 after the elimination of Halfling Alchemist.
Halfling Alchemist
Splinter: Neutral
Level: 2⭐⭐
Ability: Halving
Speed: 2⚡⚡
Health: 1 ❤️
Armor: 2 🪖🪖
Attack: Range
Mana: 2 ♂️♂️
Halfling Alchemist was to break the weapon of opponent's monsters. Giant Alpine Skink's melee was broken by Halfling Alchemist which made it attack less stronger.
The moment Iziar was eliminated in round 2; Halfling Alchemist was the next monster that was attack and it was eliminated.
This simply means without Iziar in this battle, Halfling Alchemist would have been the first monster that would have been eliminated. There wouldn't be a chance for the monster to attack in this battle.
In conclusion, if my opponent used Noa The Just, the rust ability of Noa The Just would have removed the armor of all my monsters. This strategy would have allowed the opportunity monsters in mv opponent's lineup to eliminate all my monsters without attacking the armor.
If not the armor, I wouldn't have won the battle.
Captain Katie was a incredible monster, eliminating monsters. But if my opponent used Iziar just like me, I wouldn't have won the battle because majority of my monsters were magic attack monsters.
I knew victory was mine in this battle because Captain Katie was eliminating monsters.
Lesson learned
If I have chosen Isgard Vorst just like my opponent, I might lose the battle because my opponent had 2 opportunity monsters in his lineup.
Therefore, Captain Katie* is the best to use. This is because it snipe from the middle and also attack the health directly.
