Happy weekend to you all my friends from all over the world, the topic for this edition is an interesting one to use and close the week's contest.
Someone is already laughing over my topic...let the men breathe jor....they deserve some good rest
From the time of conception till the moment a woman discovers that she is pregnant comes with lots of adjustments from the side of the woman who is carrying the fetus to the Father who is always reminded to be careful in his dealings with his own wife. This journey of bringing in a new life is not easy at all as it comes with lots of responsibilities with her.
Imagine there are women who feels the times they are pregnant is the opportunity they have to get to their spouse so they make lots of unbearable demands which the man because he just want the woman happy will just manage to meet those demands. Some men just gets so worried and drained all round when their wife is pregnant.
For this reason I so support the motion that says there should be an introduction of paternity leave for them but it may not be as long as that of the men. In some countries the women are given months and others years to care for their babies. Just yesterday my mother told me of a country that gives a woman 5 good years to care for the baby because children under 5 are not allowed in school and the cost of getting a nanny is too high.
Most Mothers do have this inborn special ability to nurture the children that's why their own leaves should be made to last longer than that of the men.
Having good time to bond with the kids is so important, so the father's should just be allowed some good time to care for their new born. Also, when a woman puts to birth she use to need lots of assistance and in most cases it is the husband that understands her better, so to avoid the issues of misunderstanding or stress from people that came around to help it is better the man is around.
Another reason why I feel men should be given some time off, is so they can recover from the psychological and mental stress they might have gone through during the period of waiting for the new member to arrive.
Another vital reason is so he will be able to stand in to receive the visitors that will be coming to the house at that time. When a woman puts to birth, not anytime people comes to the house she is to be called our. There should be a standing rule that no one should call her out the moment she is in, so it is the husband that can in force that well.
See, work cannot finish so even when they are not in the office the organization always have its ways of getting things done. By this I mean to say, organization should be considerate when a man brings a report to the organization of his spouse delivery so he will not make mistakes that will cost the office so money.
