Information is power to me. In the then days those who are termed powerful are those who have vast knowledge on areas that others don't. These kind of people go ahead to guide those knowledge with all jealousy so that they will retain their position.
The colonial masters was able to colonize the places they did because when they get to discover the challenge of a particular region is they come with the cover up to provide solution to the challenges while in the other hand they have what they want to benefit from the regions.
Moving down to this present era that vital information is no longer in the hands of a selected few
Anyone do have an equal right to access any information or release information to the web hence he have access to am android phone or the internet, the question now is if access to the internet can also be considered as a fundamental Human right?
To this question is I will say a big yes with my reasons to back it up. Application of the information one have per time saves a lot. Now the internet is there to guide most of the things we do as humans. Restricting when and who have this access will be detrimental to the lives of many. For instance, if a fight breaks out in particular areas, in less than 10 minutes the news is everywhere in the internet and this will in one way or the other reduce the amount of casualties that ma come from that particular crisis. If the internet was to be restricted more and more will be victims.
If the service is going to go down courtesy demands that the service providers will alert the customers of an up coming maintenance. But we see that is not the case in our society today.
Through the internet people are able to air their views on national matters. Imagine if the government of the day are allowed to do what they feel like doing what the state of things would have been. A certain government came and louged a campaign against those that say things against the government. Was he able to go so far with that? No.
Through the internet we are able to make our contribution LS to the running of the government, if we are not able to get there in person at least their media aides in one way or the other will get to see what people have in mind and be able to relate with them.
The internet plays a vital role in today's world as one don't only get to know about what goes on in his own country but also others. Imagine the last election of the USA people from all over the world where allowed to also contribute to what was happening, if that was made secret the world wouldn't have know what was happening. What will will just hear will be the present is so so and so and that will be all.
One thing people have to learn is the proper way of communication. Because the internet is at the moment free for all many tend to abuse it. They say things or act without guiding themselves. Even the government come up with cooked lies of things he never did. All that is blessed do have it's downsides, so it is best to major on how this internet can give us more blessings. If not for the free access I have to the internet will there be me on hive or hive at all.
