Hello beautiful people here in @cycling i bring you warm and exciting greetings from my end here in Nigeria, well i love the cycling community, i love cycling because of the fun and joy it brings, yah, but altho i don't have a bike yet i am planing and working towards one, i want to own a bike and be able to bring in exciting and new content both here and on #strava2hive platform and #actifit platform as well, these wonderful platform encourages healthy living, sportsmanship and staying fitted, sound and healthy throughout the day......
Here i and a friend of mine decided to go check things out in a biker's shop along this road, here its a busy road in the city and this particular area the shops here are mostly selling bicycle of all sort, its like this section of the city is allocated to bicycle sellers 😄.....
I and my friends went out checking several bikes and fInding out their prices, to my greatest surprise bikes are now very expensive, i'm not really sirprise tho, because of the drastic change and turn out of things here so everyone now falls back to the era were bicycles are considered a very good means of transportation
I had a budget of $50 at most but when i and my friend came to these shop to negotiates for prices i was so shocked, the prices of bicycles here are way beyond my budget, here for instance i spotted this mustang of a bike white, clean, has two shocks both front and rear, disc break and made up of alloy light frames, the seller told us that the last price for it is $110, but because of mg friend which is his friend also he will give us for $100.
I liked the bike and would love to go for it, but it was far from my reach, when i told him my budget he simply smiled and told me except i wanted buying children bike or he can sale for me, some BMX bike and also pointed at some ladies bike too, nah, i am not a fan of BMX or ladies bike i understand that he has varieties of bike in his shop but i have already seen what i liked and wanted.
He told me the prices are likely to go up even more cause he heard of speculations that the dollar will go up which will so affects the prices of things, these are all his old stocks, he's planning to go get new stocks the following week and so if we wished to get a bike we should do so now, i told him alright i will get back to him, he should just hold on for me just these week let me see how i can raise funds to come and pay complete price money for the white mustang bicycle that i saw..
He agreed but with no guarantee that if he gets a ready buyer he will sell it off, i said no problem thanked him and left, i and my friend surprised at how bike is now very expensive unlike before. Well? Hopefully i am able to get the needed funds to buy my bike before it is sold off...
