Splinterlands Battle Mage Secrets Weekly Challenge: Melee Mayhem!

in #hive-13323last year

Good day everyone. I was quite disappointed that I hadn't posted my last week's battle mage secrets on schedule therefore I lost my chances to be curated. Anyhow, I hope this time I will be allowed to be curated and upvoted by the Splinterlands community. And without much further ado, here is my battle mage secrets weekly challenge on Melee Mayhem.

Tarsa VS Kelya Frendul on Melee Mayhem

Only common and rare Boldards are allowed. Melee Mayhem allows all melee units can attack from any position. Only life and dragons are not allowed to be used in this battle.

ROUND 1

MeleeMayhem round 1.png

I have utilized two monsters with demoralize abilities. Molten Ogre and Disintegrator. They decrease the attacks of the melee monsters of the enemy. Thus giving them 1 melee attack other than Coastal Sentry. With Antoid Platoon in the first position, his shield ability is supported by protecting the ability of Ferox Defender making it impossible to defeat my 1st tank. Having the 2 blast monsters, Exploding Rats and Exploding Dwarf makes the 2nd tank of the enemy, vulnerable by the time the Diemonshark will be defeated. Thus making it easier for me to win this battle.

ROUND 2

Now, only Coastal Centry can penetrate my Antoid Platoon despite leaving him with 1 life it can still defend my team. What's good about the Exploding Dwarf is its piercing ability. Even if it was not a direct attack, it penetrated through the 1 shield of Cruel Sethropod minimizing the chances of this 2nd tank to defend the next round. Well, it did not take long for my monsters to defeat him because the disintegrator, thanks to the melee mayhem ruleset, attacked as he stood in the first position. I have noticed the downside of Ferox Defendix, his attacks are mostly missed.

ROUND 3

MeleeMayhem round 3.png

This round, my Antoid Platoon has been defeated, putting Molten Ogre in the first position. Still, the enemy was finding it hard to defeat me because of the high lives of my monsters. Still, the effect of demoralization is effective.

ROUND 4

Because the enemy only used 1 demoralized ability monster, most of my attacks are still higher and cause damage more even though he has Coastal Sentry. To be honest, she is a powerful monster especially with Possibilus the wise Luckily my 2 demoralized monsters affected her. Anyway, as my Exploding Dwarf defeated Disintegrator my attacks increased. Putting Demented Shark in the pedestal, and leaving Coastal Sentry behind for the 5th and final round.

ROUND 5

Coastal Sentry may have defeated Molten Ogre her life will still not hold all the cards left for my team to defend.

Why did I choose Tarsa?

As what have the Splinterbites says, "What Tarsa wants, Tarsa Gets!". I maximized the cards that I had while taking advantage of the battle rulesets, an increase in Melee attack will genuinely give me the upper hand. I understand that Kelya Frendul was chosen for the high speed and the extra shield. But if he had the Possibilus the Wise, I would choose it too because of the trample ability that will trigger especially with Coastal Sentry who has a double attack.

This battle made me want to buy Exploding Dwarf. I did buy him right after this battle. 🤣 That is how battle marketing affected me if I had my budget with me. 🤣 This battle made me realize this card may be disregarded sometimes but this kind of rulesets, as well as with the super sneak and equal opportunity puts him in highlight.

That is all, thank you for reading!
