The Process

For this set of images, I used a prompt that is pretty similar to others that I've used. The results are pretty good, but Mid Journey wanted to add a canvas like texture to some of these. It can be fixed, but why spend time doing that when I could keep iterating on the idea until I get something that I love, then tweak that even further?

That's exactly what I'll be doing.

The prompt:

angelic portrait of alluring redhead nymph in an ethereal forest realistic, ultradetailed, cinematic, 8k, hyperdetailed, moody volumetric lighting, magical atmosphere, beautiful attractive women, hunting cloth, beautiful face, dark green atmosphere, mysterious, magical, foggy, moonlight, crepuscular rays, hyper realistic, unreal engine, fantasy, 8k, octane render, unreal engine, extremely detailed and complex, hyper-realistic, enhanced, photo render --ar 8:10

This first image is a gorgeous example of what MidJourney can do with some decent instructions. It looks just like an ordinary photographic portrait, apart from the textures. I'd normally call this one the "one" if it was a photographic shoot, but since I can iterate, I will.

Very similar, too cartoony, the realism drops off very quickly, and the focal point is probably in the wrong spot, with the leaves sharper than the eyes.

This example has such emotive eyes, devoid of light, and has excellent compositional elements. The hair balances the composition and allows the viewer to follow the subject's gaze beyond the frame. Lighting also guides the eye around the frame in an appropriate manner, but I think that better results can still be attained!

A fairly confronting gaze, but again, too cartoony, too soft, and not enough focus.

This is the image that I will be working with - the unique structure of the cheekbones, the way that leaves are entwined within the hair, and the green eyes are truly sparkling. There's some things that I will need to fix in Photoshop - and that is what I will start on now.

The typical ting that I do, a vingette, some frequency seperation, and I made some changes to the facial structure. Just like a regular photo manipulation, as far as I am concerned!

Oh yeah, don't you dare sharing that awesome prompt! I know what you mean about adding too much of that Canevas feeling on everything...

It is just words. Curious to see what your results are if you use the prompt, It is hidden somewhere in the post. :P
