I love writing this curation report when we have such a wonderful variety of quality posts in the community. It just flows so easily from one topic to the next.
First our usual thank you everyone who makes this community what it is. This week 5% beneficiaries for interaction and contribution to the HomeEdders community go to:
• @mdakash62
• @ryivhnn
• @mousumi12
While education and learning often conjures up thoughts of schools and other learning institutions for us these days, homeschooling or education outside of them is in every walk of life. Even when children attend school they'll still be learning so much outside of it. This week @ingridontheroad highlighted this incredibly well with her recount of a week spent in a remote Australian aboriginal community. The way of living here is so removed from Australia's cities is hard to comprehend that what we find important for learning is so vastly different to what is important learning for them.
A post that highlighted something most westerners don't need to consider when it comes to education came from @romeskie, who is currently figuring out the best way to approach teaching her daughter her native language. I am often fascinated by the complexities of countries which have more than one language regularly spoken and why they don't always start learning knowing their native tongue first.
We can forget how hungry children are for learning when we structure education too much and don't give them free reign to find their own means of discovery. @leomarylm did just that recently by just giving her girls some materials and letting them decide what to create themselves. They let their hands and imaginations run free and their art and stories came to life.
If you have youngsters then you might enjoy this game from @mili2801 to help develop fine motor skills.
This week we've had a newcomer to the community in @mousumi12 who has brought us some fun arts and crafts project ideas.
Thank you for joining us. This curation was brought to you by @minismallholding and this week I have added @qwerrie as 10% beneficiary for the ongoing delegation support. Thank you!
