It's been a long time since we did a challenge and Hive give away. In fact HBD has been building up in the account and we don't want it sitting there when it could be going to our community. So this challenge will see up to 50 HBD prize for an outstanding entry, with hopefully other prizes as well, if we get enough entries.
Our topic question is:
Why and How do you Educate at Home?
We are very much aware that homeschooling and unschooling regulations vary across the world. Some countries are very liberal in allowing homeschooling, some have strict regulations on it and others don't allow it at all. Then as parents we choose our own approaches to how we want to educate our children, whether it's unschooling, homeschooling with a curriculum, through a homeschooling provider, as an additional support to school education or any other option.
You can tell us about the legal side of home education in your country and whether that affects how you educate at home. Perhaps you home educate because your children have specific needs or have struggled in school or maybe even because of difficulties you faced or gaps you saw yourself in the school system.
Do you find homeschooling harder or easier than you expected? Do you get judged on your choices by others?
As always, we love to read your stories and advice on what you've learnt along the way. Please submit links to your entries on this post so we don't miss them.
Big thanks to @missdeli for the image used in the thumbnail. I've probably not really done it justice.
