Today I want to write about Crossfit, the sport I have been practicing since 2022. đź’Ş

CrossFit is a training program composed of functional exercises, constantly replaced, executed at high intensity.

The goal of CrossFit is to develop maximum performance in each and every muscle group of the body, and not to carry out a specific training program, that is to say, every day the training is different.
In 2001, Greg Glassman created CrossFit in the United States. Thanks to his great experience as a gymnast and coach, he has developed a training system that is considered the most effective in the world. Since 2007 they have organized an international competition called the CrossFit Games.

CrossFit is a program of strength and total physical conditioning, which is based on the increase of the ten physical capacities most recognized by specialists in sports training:

1. Cardio-respiratory resistance.
2. Muscular endurance.
3. Strength.
4. Flexibility.
5. Power.
6. Speed.
7. Coordination.
8. Agility.
9. Balance.
10. Accuracy.

Power is one of the most important pillars of CrossFit. It is defined as the ability to do a short exercise "intensely and quickly", and is related to almost all the positive aspects of training. Increases in strength, performance, muscle mass, and bone density occur in proportion to exercise intensity. Power is an ever-present element in the daily exercise of CrossFit, developed through working with short times and high loads.
