A mother must know what to educate her children to help them build a strong sense of self. Note these strategies and use them whenever possible.

When your kids need you, you must drop everything and focus on them. This is the best way to show them you care about their problems and are willing to help solve them.

You may also utilise this opportunity to strengthen your bond with them by teaching them to embrace their strengths and weaknesses.

Children never stop learning. It's natural to suppose they'll make mistakes. The problem is their approach. Show them that no matter how far they have to go, they can always take something positive from the experience before criticising their actions or skills.

Along with resiliency and hard effort, one must also respond appropriately when goals are achieved. You should praise their success and dedication. Do not evaluate them based on their siblings' or friends' actions.

Your children will learn from this that you care about their development. They'll notice that you're there to help them, which boosts self-esteem. Be careful, though, because the latter never involves preventing others from making mistakes or solving their problems. The opposite is true.

Before questioning their behaviour or skills, teach them that every step backwards can lead to something fantastic. Show them that every step backward can be positive.

EQ is a buzzword in parenting nowadays. It's a child's ability to understand and control emotions. In these situations, teach your children how to interpret and respond to their emotions.

You must listen to them and tell them that their feelings are normal. They should never think fear, nervousness, concern, or melancholy are wrong feelings. These are natural feelings we've all had.

Even if you don't teach them anything, your kids will learn from you. You must demonstrate how to take acceptable risks, accept responsibility, and treat others with respect, love, and understanding.

When they misunderstand or act inappropriately, don't attack their sense of self. Deal with your children's behaviours, not their skills, to instil self-love.

Instead of "You're bad at math, this will be hard for you to learn," try: "Look, you're doing it wrong. If you focus and practise, you'll get it quickly. Even if it doesn't seem important to you, it can affect a child with poor self-esteem.

Don't neglect "lesser" deeds that are vital. Set realistic boundaries while remaining loving. This will help your children develop good self-esteem. They'll always have this resource with them.
