When we mention a supreme court, we are often referring to the highest court in some entity, state or nation, it is the highest instance in matters of justice of a nation, we could say that since there is no instance of justice above it, its decisions may be unappealable.
All of us are persons subject to justice, that is to say, we are subject to laws established by governments, starting with the constitution of a nation and continuing with the different laws enacted to govern the functions of the state or other agencies within the judicial system of a country.
Citizens have the duty and obligation to respect and comply with the established laws, the courts are the ones in charge of interpreting according to the law when someone violates one of these laws and apply the corrections and sanctions established in these laws.
Now, in every nation these tribunals or courts are established and function as the highest level of justice in each country, implying that there is nothing above them, but what if there was a higher instance than the supreme court of each country, for people of faith there is a higher instance and it is the heavenly court.
"2 Corinthians 5:10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may be recompensed for his deeds while in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad."
According to what the scripture says, someday we will be present before a court of higher order where all of us will give an account of our actions while we were on this earth, other passages of scripture mention that some books will be opened where names and deeds we have done are recorded.
For some people this is just religion, fictitious events that only a group of fanatics believe, but what if it is not so? What if all that is written is the truth?
For some of us, these events will happen and sooner or later we will come face to face with the Lord, even if there are people who choose not to believe in this reality.
Let me know what you think!
