This morning I already went back to the JAMB office for my change of course but I was asked to go to the Delta State library to complete my change of course. When I arrived there, I did not find anyone there because I went there really early. But after few minutes, a woman came and asked me to follow her and wait until they are fully opened before I can be attended to.
I feel like this lady is a God sent because she just started talking to me casually and helping me feel really comfortable unlike what I experienced at the jamb office where I would I've been asked to stand outside waiting until they are fully opened. Even when we've been asked to come in, the still speak to us like we are not adults 😂. How I wish the state library was able to do everything for me from the beginning, I won't have wasted my money on transportation for the past four days.
Now I'm sitting down comfortably waiting for the office to open fully because I'm going to be the first person to be attended to today. And then there is this girl that came in after me, she says she wants to change a name in her certificate because of misinformation but it seems like that is going to be a problem for her because when it comes to certificates, it is not possible for it to be altered except you make a new one.
I also had a friend who came for the same thing two days ago but in her case, she wanted to add a name to her certificate but that is not possible and she needs all the names appearing in her documents to be the same for her to go further in her screening. Well, in the end, she was asked to go back and explain to her screening officer and that she should come back next year. I'm not sure what they can do but I hope they can do something about it because my friend is super worried that she is looking so thin.
I'm praying that I don't have any issues with my documents because it is really not funny at all. Back then, not everyone got the orientation that it is always best to put in the same name for any documents because that can be a problem later. So if you have any child or ward, make sure to guide them whenever filling in any documents so they don't make mistakes, never think they can do it alone even if they say the can, just be there and watch what they are doing.
Well, that's just that, I hope somebody gets to learn something from this today and save him or herself or even a friend or family member from making this kind of mistake. I'm here now and I'm hoping to finish everything that I have to do today and go back home early because I'm planning to travel back today if I finish from here early. I'm writing this blog while sitting and waiting for the library to open properly and get my work done.
