It’s another beautiful week for vibes web3 music competition week 16 with the theme “ROOTS”. As I delve into the theme of "Roots", I'm reminded of the profound impact that our heritage, culture, people and personal experiences have in shaping us into the individuals we are today. Our roots are like the foundation of a tree, providing stability, nourishment, and a sense of belonging and drive. They connect us to our past, inform our present, and guide us towards our future.
That's why I'm thrilled to share my cover of the poignant song "Dandelion" by Ruth B, an artist known for her soulful voice and storytelling prowess. This hauntingly beautiful song resonates deeply with the theme of roots, speaking directly to the heart of what it means to be connected to something or longing for something or someone.
As I sing "Dandelion", my mind drifts to a place of nostalgia and longing, where memories of a loved one and meaningful moments flood my mind. The song's soaring melody and heartfelt lyrics evoke a sense of yearning, as if reaching for something just out of grasp. I hope to convey the emotional depth of this song, and the way it resonates with anyone who has ever only get to wish for something.
Through this cover, I reflect on the struggles and triumphs, the laughter and tears, and the lessons learned along the way. Those amazing people in my life I had to let go of and only had to just long for them. I hope to share my own connection to my roots with everyone who listens, and inspire them to do the same.

Maybe it's the way you say my name
Maybe it's the way you play your game
But it's so good, I've never known anybody like you
But it's so good, I've never dreamed of nobody like you
And I've heard of a love that comes once in a lifetime
And I'm pretty sure that you are that love of mine
'Cause I'm in a field of dandelions
Wishing on every one that you'd be mine, mine
And I see forever in your eyes
I feel okay when I see you smile, smile
Wishing on dandelions all of the time
Praying to God that one day you'll be mine
Wishing on dandelions all of the time, all of the time
