Hello fellow travelers,

Today, I want to tell you about a very special excursion I took some time ago, in a truly unique place immersed in nature. Unfortunately, this place was a theater of World War I, and many lives were lost here. So, the local administration thought it fitting to create a 'Path of Silence,' because these areas, in addition to their natural beauty, should also be a place where people pay their respects to the numerous individuals who met their end here.

This path is approximately 3 km long and winds its way near the Campomuletto refuge in Gallio. We're essentially in the province of Vicenza in the Veneto region. I must say that the walk here is very easy and suitable for both adults and children. It essentially unfolds within a beechwood forest. It's beautiful to come and walk here, but at the same time, it's a path that touches your soul. In fact, it was designed for this very reason—to make people reflect on the absurdity and cruelty of war. In the photos I've shared, you can see various artistic installations that have been placed in this location by different artists. These installations are meant to have a greater emotional impact on the people who visit these places.

I discovered this place thanks to a friend who had been here some time ago and had shown me some photos he had taken. But I must say that walking this path in person is truly moving. There are also inscriptions along the way, words written in diaries by those who lost their lives here.

I think the idea of creating this path is an excellent one. Seeing families with their children come here to walk was heartwarming because it's through experiences like these that people can come face to face with the horrors of war.
