How are you all friends, hope you are well. Thank you Hive Book Club Community. I tried to review the fiction novel The Case Book of Sherlock Holmes written by Arthur Conan Doyle. Look at the table of contents of the book, the novel consists of several Cases with 255 pages. I reviewed the case title Thor Bridge from page 28 to page 59.
In this adventure, detective Sherlock Holmes and his partner Dr. Watson, find a girl from murder charges. The client, a businessman, Mr J Neil Gibson, he asked Holmes for help in solving a case. He said that Mr Gibson had a wife who came from Brazil, the met there for gold mines Brazil Mario Pinto.
His wife's name, was a very beautiful woman and had a cheerful personality, they fell in love and then got married. As time passed, Mr Gibson realized that the two of them were not compatible, Mr. Gibson love for his wife gradually faded, but that wasn't the case with his wife.
Her love for her husband seemed to be getting bigger, even though her husband defended her harshly, his wife still adored her husband. Mr Gibson the problem started when they came to the house of a private tutor for their two children. Miss Grace Dunbar, she was a very beautiful English girl.
Gradually Mr Gibson began to like Miss Dunbar, but Miss dunbar did not accept him, at first Miss Dunbar wanted to resign from her job, but she still had a family that she had to support, in the end Miss Dunbar persisted. He also become friends with Mr. Gibson.
Mr. Gibson was very impressed with Miss Dunbar personality, he often asked for opinions related to his business, it turned out that this friendship had a positive Impact on Mr. Dunbar in running his business, but this Made his wife jealous. One day, Mr. Gibson wife secretly sent a letter to Miss Dunbar.
Asking the two of them to meet, because there was meet something important she wanted to discuss and Miss Dunbar agreed. They met on Thor Bridge, a bridge with Walls on it's sides, it turned out that the meeting was very out that the meeting was very painful for Miss. Dunbar.
Because he wouldn't bear to hear it, he couldn't bear to hear it, he immediately ran away from that place. The next day, Mr. Gibson's, the next day, Mr. Gibson's wife was found dead at the end of the bridge. At the end of the bridge, in his hand he held a letter from Miss. Gibson agreeing to meet, of course, the police immediately suspected Miss. Dunbar, and when they searched her room, they found a gun in Miss. Dunbar's wardrobe.
Mr. Gibson does not believe that his wife was killed by Miss Dunbar, because he knows Miss Dunbar is a very gentle and kind person. Mr.Holmes then carried out an investigation at the wall of the Thor Bridge. He also investigated the gun found in Miss Dunbar wardrobe which turned out to be a twin gun and the partner was not found.
After some time investigating, Mr. Holmes discovered that Mr Gibson wife died by suicide, but he Made it seem as if he had been killed. He committed suicide by tying a gun with thread and tying to a large stone at the end as a weight when the stone was thrown. The gun was raised towards Mr Gibson's wife's head. He did this so that his revenge and hatred and jealousy towards Miss Dunbar would be paid off.
