Hello there; I'm happy to see you. I've always loved Jujutsu Kaisen, though I only watched it once late last year. I know I can cover a lot of series, so I was able to finish season one early enough before the end of Shibuya Arc. But I noticed a lot of stuff that was amazing in the Jujutsu Kaisen, which can be talked about. A good example are the domain expansions in the series.
As an anime fan myself, I love stunning and flashy things in a movie, so I'd like to rank these domain expansions in the order in how captivating they were to me. And also, I won't be including any ones in the manga, I'll only focus on the ones animated so far. So let's get right to it.
Domain Expansions
Domain expansion is one of the most amazing abilities of the characters in Jujutsu Kaisen, enabling the user to create a space in which he has massive control over and with which he can capture the opponent, trapping the enemy inside. It doesn't just trap the opponent; it increases the power and accuracy of the user.
5. Horizon of the Captivating Skandha—Dagon
Horizon of the Captivating Skandha is the name given to Dagon's domain expansion. It is basically the one that traps the opponent on an island. Seeing it at first, it looks rather like a calm and peaceful island, one good for holidays. But it is a very fierce domain expansion. In this domain, Dagon can produce unlimited Shikigami, which can attack the enemy in all directions. It is basically a technique whereby, you can see but can't avoid, the fish in the seas will basically attack the opponent till he or she is weak if the opponent is strong, or can basically kill the opponent if the opponent is too weak.
Dagon used this domain expansion to almost defeat three elite sourcers, if not for Toji. They would have been dead. It is a cool domain expansion.
4. Chimera Shadow Garden - Fushiguro Megumi
Normally, I would say that this domain expansion is an incomplete one, and I know most of you will say that. But the fact that he was able to pull that off in that state when fighting a first-grade cursed demon is amazing. His domain expansion is cool. I love it.
3. Unlimited void - Gojou Satoru
Come on guys, we all know the most powerful sorcerer in Jujutsu Kaisen, which is Gojou Satoru. So for a powerful sorcerer like him, his domain expansion is basically the most powerful. It would be hard to break through that domain. But remember, I said that I'm ranking it in the order in which I'm captivated by it.
Gojou's unlimited void is arguably the most powerful domain expansion in Jujutsu Kaisen, and it is a technique in which, on the surface, it looks like the enemy is captured in something like a black hole. But deeply, it is a domain expansion that opens the enemy to unlimited information. The information will become so empathetic that it will render the enemy useless and unable to do anything, even think. It's very cool and powerful.
2. Malevolent Kitchen - Sukuna
Moving on to a more flashy yet powerful domain expansion is Sukuna's malevolent kitchen. I don't know, people used the words for each other. In season 2, Sukuna basically used the malevolent Kichen domain expansion, which is slightly different from what was written in the manga. I was also confused at first, but I'll have to go to the Kitchen 😂.
Malevolent Kitchen is the domain expansion Sukuna used when he was fighting Mahoraga. It is one in which, for every part of the domain expansion that it covers, anything that's in the path is pulverized. According to the series, it says it covers up to a 200-meter radius, but the user can control the radius.
This domain expansion is one of the most amazing and interesting domain expansions I've witnessed after the Malevolent Shrine, which was shown in season 1, maybe due to the fact that his fight with Mahoraga is already interesting; maybe that's what makes it flashy and wonderful. I loved the view.
1. Self-Embodiment Of Perfection - Mahito
Now coming to my best domain expansion. Self-Embodiment of Perfection. It is the power owned by Mahito; it was first shown in season 1 when he was cornered by Nanami and Itadori, but it was later shown in season 2 during the fight with Mechano Man ( I've forgotten his name 😅). We know that Mahito's powers are to transfigure anyone into anything, so his domain expansion is just based on that, which basically creates a space in which he has full and maximum control of soul transfiguration without even touching the enemy, thereby increasing the accuracy and speed of the process. It is basically shown as multiple hands forming together in such a beautiful way that it got me captivated.
I know most of us don't like Mahito; even I don't like him either, but I can't deny the fact that his domain expansion is amazing. At some point, I rewatched this clip, and every time I watched it, I was amazed by the flashiness of this power.
That comes to the end of my post. I hope you enjoyed it. I'll love to see you in my future posts.
