Good day, everyone, and welcome to my blog for today. So this is my entry Neoxain City prompt, and if you are interested in participating, I will leave a link to the post on the topic of the prompt, so stay tuned, and let's get started. Food has been in existence for as long as human beings, even during the primitive era. Food was already in existence. All living creatures, no matter the animal class, need food to survive, and we all know that because the necessary nutrients and minerals obtained from food are what give the body energy and make it healthy.

There are different kinds of food, and some are unique. Some are okay, and while some are weird. I have seen and heard a lot of weird food and I never thought that I would eat any type of weird food but there is a saying in pidgin that when sapa humble you then you will have to bend. It was back last year in my first year in university, close to the end of the semester. It was getting rough for me and my roommate as the food we got was already exhausted, and we were looking for means to eat that day.

My roommate suggested to me that we should cook spaghetti and I already did, so I gave him the little cash I had and he got the stuff to cook the spaghetti and he went into the kitchen to start making it. While I was waiting for the food I first perceived the scent of palm oil and I was like what is going on here I had never heard or seen when palm oil was used to make spaghetti so I entered the kitchen to get answers from my roommate. When I entered the kitchen I asked him while he was using palm oil to cook and he responded that it would taste good and asked if I hadn't tried palm oil spaghetti and I responded that I had never even heard of it and said I had been missing a lot, and assured me the spaghetti will taste good.

In my head, I had doubts that it would taste good, but I just had to wait and taste for clarity. When my roommate came with the spaghetti and put it on the table it looked funny to me and I asked him again are you sure this food will taste good he still encouraged me that it would be tasty, so I picked up my fork and took the first bite. It was as if palm oil was the only taste from the spaghetti and immediately I regretted agreeing to co-contribute to making the food, but I had no chance that day other than to eat it because of hunger.

Later that same day, in the evening, my stomach began to ache me so badly, which got me to use the restroom multiple times. Since then whenever my roommate wants to cook spaghetti, I will just decline the offer and tell I will find something else to eat. It is one of the experiences in school that I will never forget. So, guys, that will be all for now. Thanks for stopping by, and have a good day.

I like the combination spaghetti cooked with palmoil, will try it out, hehehe.
I'm sure he added something that your body wasn't okay with that's why you purged.

It's not common to use palm oil in preparing supergetti , and you obviously found it strange even before tasting the food. Nowadays, many people have embraced palm oil in cooking different meals. I tried it with jellof rice and liked it
It's unfortunate that your made you a bit ill...not a good adventure for your stomach, haha 😂

Your instincts told you that the ccombination of ingredients was not good. However sometimes one has to overlooks aesthetic to satisy hunger. Unfortunately you became unwell but now you have an unforgettable eating experience. Hopefully you recovered quickly.

I recovered two days later and I still choose to follow my instinct not to try that same food combination. It's nice he was trying to be creative but I just have to draw myself from that kind of dish. Thanks for stopping by.

Having someone else cook for you can be a real treat especially when you are low on funds or ideas. Maybe your roommate wanted to be creative. Individually spaghetti or palm oil are not strange ingredients. I guess together the dish was strange indeed as it made you sick. Is that all that was in the dish or could there have been another ingredient that made you ill.
Sphaghetti is an easy to make dish even without fancy sauces - how did your roommate get it wrong? I am sure you must have thought so. Well you certainly learnt a lesson. I hope you were not sick for too long.

He indeed wanted to be creative but the food still looked alien to me because I had not heard of or tried it before, but nevertheless, I still appreciate his effort and I am open to trying new things but once it does not go well I just choose not to go further. Thanks for stopping by.
