The world has gone beyond watching your favorite show on TV or listening to your favorite show on the radio. The world has come to a point where just anyone can have their show from the confines of their home. No pitching of shows to TV or media houses and now just anyone can listen to these shows.
Podcasts are fast rising today as new shows are springing up and listeners are opportune to have a vast array of topics to pick from and listen to.
One interesting thing about podcasts is that it creates a cool and soothing atmosphere for listeners to not just listen to the voice or voices of the speakers but for them to be able to connect with these speakers.
I love how I can listen to my favorite show any day any time. Putting on only my AirPods I get to go on a journey with these speakers and it’s more fun when their words resonate with you.
I mostly enjoy listening to these shows when I am cooking, doing chores, or taking a walk. I find solace in listening to these shows as I see the hosts and guests as my companions 😃
Just like choosing books, I tend to be picky when it comes to picking shows to listen to. I try as much as possible to censor what I listen to, like they say Words are powerful.
I do not listen to controversial podcasts nor do I listen to overly emotional podcasts as well, the kind of podcasts where you have people come share their sad stories, I don’t do well with sad stories so I don’t bother listening to them as I end up being overly emotional😂
My all-time favorite show is The Psychology of Your 20s. I recommend this show for people in their 20s as this podcast is all-encompassing.
You know when certain life drama and situations hit us and we kinda feel like it’s the first of its kind and we tend to get all worked up about it, this podcast makes you understand that you are not alone, it’s a large community of people in their 20s who are literally documenting their life journey.
Other than the show being entertaining the host’s voice is soothing and with every story she shares you can’t help but scream in your head “That’s my story! How’d she know that”.
Listening to this podcast frequently has made me see things differently to a certain degree.
Another podcast I do not ever miss is Mark Manson’s The Subtle Art of Not Giving a Fuck. I read this book a few years ago and this particular book changed my life in so many ways and helped me manage my emotions. The day I found this podcast I was so happy and ever since then, I’ve been hooked.
If you’ve ever read Mark’s books or listened to his interviews you’d know he says things without sugarcoating them, he dishes out interesting facts of life and he hits you with the hard truth that causes something in you to stare up.
Hearing him share his stories, tips, and wealth of knowledge is amazing.
I do comedy on the side, a little laughter here and there isn’t gonna hurt anyone right?😃
I randomly listen to different comic podcasts and trust me they do a fine job of making you laugh.
The world is so tough as it is right now, laughing and loosening up a little wouldn’t hurt.
I have a few other podcasts I listen to but you see these few I highlighted here? They’ve been such a blessing to my life and I am glad to share it with you all.
