The crazy thing about adulthood is being faced with situations or challenges that involve you making life decisions and by life decisions, I mean the kind of decision that you just have to make regardless of how difficult it is. There’s no room for sitting on the fence nor is there an option to opt-out or pass the card to the next person, Lol the decision stares right in your face and you just have to do the needful or deal with the consequences.
Can I go back to being the little girl her parents helped to make decisions? Can I go back there for just a moment? If wishes were horses beggars would ride right? I know.
The other part of adulthood that gets me worked up is seeking advice from people and people telling me to follow my heart, trust me if my heart wasn’t making it difficult for me I wouldn’t have come to seek advice from you in the first place.
Our heart says one thing and our brain says another, basically the internal struggle that arises as a result of our brain and heart is such an underrated conflict.
Today I share Dare You to Move with you all.
Dare You to Move is a heartwarming song by Switchfoot and the song was released in 2000.
Dare You to Move is not just an ordinary song, but a song that preaches taking bold steps and doing whatever you want do to.
I dare you to move
I dare you to lift yourself up off the floor
The fear of the unknown creeps in and people being people are usually worried about not even giving a shot at opportunities but Switchfoot via his song admonishes us to be brave enough to pick up the broken pieces and start all over without thinking of the past. The song also admonishes us to put our best foot forward against all odds,
One thing I like about this advice is that it is better if you try doing something and it didn't work than for you not to try at all and at the end you keep wondering, what if it had worked.
So lately I’ve been contemplating some very life-altering decisions and this decision has the power to make or mar me and I am hoping my heart leads me in the right direction.
Welcome to resistance
The tension is here
Listening to Dare You to Move lately has been both soothing and encouraging. Knowing that I’m not the only one having an internal conflict between my mind and my heart, knowing this is like knowing I'm normal to feel the way I do.

Dare You to Move is a lovely song that one can find solace in and this song has inspired me never to give up or shy away from making decisions, but to just calm down and think about every part of the issue, then make my decision, having it at the back of my mind to bear whatever the outcome is.
