God's kindness and mercy is felt in every aspect of our lives. In John 3:16 the Bible states, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son... "
Imagine such great love from a wonderful father, he invites us to love our neighbors. The expression shows that he had limitless love for humans, thereby sacrifising his only son. Jesus showed love in this regard and gave his life as a ransom in exchange for us as stated to the Roman's by the apostles.
God's loving kindness and mercy extends to us all, as humans. Little wonder why the psalmist expressed his feelings towards God's mercy in psalm 130:3 "If errors where what you watch oh Jehovah, then, who could stand?" Apparently non us would stand our creators might or wrath, but his mercy and loving kindness has become evident in our lives that we see it daily, he is ready to forgive us our sins as far as we show a heartfelt repentant attitude when we confessed to him.
What should God's love move us to do in this regard?
Imitate God's Love
God's love should move us to love our neighbors, friends and show concern to them. In Ephesians 4:1-3 the apostle Paul encourages us to continue putting up with one another in love.
What does this means?
This means that we must forgive those who wronged us, and continue to show them love as true Christians.
Jesus Christ told his disciples at John 10:35 "By this all will know that you aren't my disciples if you have love amongst yourselves" Jesus in effect was saying to his disciples that you must continue to love ourselves and others. He thus identified love as an endearing mark and quality of true Christians.
It may not be easy to forgive those who has wronged us, but we need to truly forgive them from our hearts and hold no grudges against them.
We must continue to love our friends, and neighbors intensely from the heart. We must follow the pattern of love drawn by our Lord Jesus Christ.
