We went for a drive yesterday to visit my father-in-law. We were to come home here at mom's in the morning but we decided to check the old man at the other side of the mountain first, bring groceries for him and some supplies to the guys tending to the farms too.

I was mostly offline because mobile reception in their area is so poor that even sending SMS is a struggle. It's ironic because they are in proximity to a few cellular towers yet they can't even have a decent signal. But it was good though, I took it as a chance to just be and unbothered. The absence of internet allowed me to feel truly off the grid most of the day.

After having lunch, the husband left to meet one of the boys who just came back a week ago from his hometown vacationing for almost a month. Whilst I stayed with the old man for some chitchats. But then he needed to continue his work so I just took myself for a tour around the area basking under the sun and photographing things. I even went to a nearby farm that is growing potatoes (4th-5th photo). I was astonished to see a few stems flowering.

Also had fun capturing photos of a bee hopping from one flower to another. It was fascinating to watch. At some point I even asked a little loudly like I was talking to it, "are the nectars that good and delicious?" I just can't help it, lol!

And it flew away only to land onto another flower. It was a beautiful sight.

Anyway, the husband came back and we did a little some sorting of things before we left around past 3 pm. We were picking up my brother's girls from their school since we are going home to my parents' compound. The last photo above was taken while we were driving away from my father-in-law's village.

The rain poured heavily before we even arrived home. It was a welcoming respite if I may say so. It cleaned out the dust for it didn't rain in the last two days.

Meanwhile, it's a beautiful Friday here and a little colder. It looks like the sun is playing hide and seek, peeking for a while and then hiding once again. Nevertheless, the day is unfolding quite well and it's looking amazing!

Cheers to a lovely day (night) where you are!

What a beautiful and refreshing sight in the morning. If I have a view like this every morning, then I guess I'm probably set in a good mood for the rest of the day. It's my first time seeing potato plant flowers. haha. !PIZZA

Glad you find them refreshing, DM :) And here is me thinking you have a better view where you are hehe.

And yes, the potatoes do bear flowers. Some are white and others like on the photo.

All these places looks like heaven. You are lucky man to live there. We have to travel very long to go to such a place then we see such scenic views across it. Where we live is Multan and it is very famous for its heat and there are not many trees or mountains.

Thank you :) It's tough when a place doesn't have greens.

That's what I'm truly grateful about. Having lived in cities during my youth, I appreciate being able to spend more of my mid-life in the countryside.

Most welcome.

Saw a bee up close! Through a camera. I'm a bit weary of them because they could switch up at anytime 😂. Lovely post.

Glad you did :D

Unless you provoke them, they are quite friendly hehe. Thank you !LADY

Those are some great shots of the bee in action. The view from where you were at was really great too. You mentioned the rain being a nice respite, so it must be dry there lately. It has been raining more than I would like here. Not a great deal, but still more than I would like. Again, wonderful photos. Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Thank you, Joe.

Yes, it was mostly dry for 2-3 days and the rain came. It's raining today too😅 During these times, we welcome the rain so our water supply won't run out.

I hope the rain over there will give it a rest and you will enjoy some sunshine too, at least for a few days. Too much rain isn't fun.

The view of that place is very beautiful. Anyone would love to enjoy the view.
I think sometimes going offline is good for us because that time nothing can disturb us to interact with nature.

The pictures of bee hoping from one flower to another is very beautiful one in my eyes.

Many thanks Inti for your kind remarks. It's true what you said, going off grid for some time is good. It helps us reconnect with nature.

Glad you like the bee photos. Thank you :)
