And Friday already, whew! This is my third day away from home and it feels like it's been too long already. I'm still sane, thankfully, but I miss my two boys (Lil Yongi and the Farmboy). I will see them tonight though because my sister is coming to attend to Dad so I am going home, yay!
Anyhoo, I've been on short walks these few days. My legs complained each time but needed some workout lest they grow old fast, haha! Besides, I had to fill my tummy which meant getting out of the room and finding a place to eat.
Yesterday, I got myself a table at Kibs. It was 9 am and there weren't any other diners except one who was already finishing off his plate when I arrived (people here usually have breakfast around 7-8 am) so mine was a bit late.
They have several dishes on the menu and I ordered a rice set (beans/tomatoes with beans). I only had light meals (fruits and bread) on Wednesday so a rice brunch on a Thursday would be nice. My plate was served some 20 minutes later and I quietly ate, but the smell of cigarette smoke from the diner's staff room pissed my nostrils off so I left even before finishing my meal. And for that, there won't be a second time, lol!
From the restaurant, I strolled along the street for a wee adventure, stopping at some shops to find something interesting. The shadows of the rails on the fenced roadsides are quite cool. There was a dog in the middle of the street too!
Someone was behind me so I quickly took a snap of the view beyond the fencing and went on.
After going through most of the shops and buying some stuff and snacks, I re-entered the hospital grounds, pausing for a while along the gardens and taking photos. I thought of spending some moments out there but I needed to check on Dad since I was gone for over an hour.
There were a few people outside. Some were taking a stroll and others were taking shelter under the trees where the air is cooler.
Here are some more pics from the garden (taken before noon on Wednesday). It is nice that while the hospital expands its buildings and facilities, it still keeps some green zones.
And yep, the place has a lift which kind of encourages us not to climb the staircases. I use it even when I'm only going to the second floor, lol! Crazy, huh?
Well, my feet often feel sore even before reaching Dad's room which makes me assume they need more workout!
Perhaps today, I will have more of it. We'll see :)
Happy Friday, frens!
