A new week has arrived for us here in the mountains, lovely Monday morning and there's coolness in the air brought by the rain yesterday afternoon, which is always a blessing during the dry season.
On the previous weekend, we were at the Double C for lunch. The sun was having "hide and seek" moments (clouds covering it now and then) and whilst the other customers opted to stay inside, the husband and I preferred the balcony setting where we spent a little more time even after we were done with out meals. The place was quite relaxing, given the view and the general ambiance.
When we were about to leave, I noticed the shadows of the rusty iron chairs and table at the other corner. I think it's just a spare set for it was different from the wicker ones which we were seated on. Anyhow, I was glad that there were no other people in that area so I invited myself for a photographing spree, lol! Well, I have the Shadow Hunters community in mind, that's why.
And here's to share more of them. Apart from the chairs, the shadows of the balcony railings were also captured, including the cable dish at the corner.
The shadows of the backside of the chairs look interestingly nice in any position.
And the railings (their shadows) kind of complemented the design of the tiles on the floor. I imagined that when the sun is nearing to set, the shadows would be longer and more stretched.
Here's the farthest corner with the shadows of the railings and of the lilies (cymbidium) too. Looking at the photos on the restaurant's FB page, this part of the balcony seems to be the favorite spot amongst their customers to have their photographs taken, with the beautiful sky and the mountain peaks in the backdrop.
It was fun capturing the shadows (I took so many of them it was hard to choose which to include here). After which, we left the place and drove home just before 3 in the afternoon.
This is my participation to Round 265 of the Shadow Hunters contest by Melinda. If you want to take part in this weekly fun, join us on the Shadow Hunters community. There's also the reflection challenge by Olgavita.
Thank you and cheers to a wonderful new week!
