There was plenty of sunshine today so we had our dose of vitamin D, at least that was what I thought until I read something that clarified how it happens and I quote:
When exposed to the sun, your skin can manufacture its own vitamin D. "We each have vitamin D receptor cells that, through a chain of reactions starting with the conversion of cholesterol in the skin, produce vitamin D3 when they’re exposed to ultraviolet B (UVB) from the sun," says Yale Medicine dermatologist David J. Leffell, MD, chief of Dermatologic Surgery.
Just being outdoors, you get a fair amount of sun exposure and some sun-related generation of vitamin D.(src)
I had been thinking wrongly believing that we get vit D directly from the sun when it actually undergoes a certain process. We do learn every day. Although the information might not be 100% accurate, who knows?
Anyway, I finally convinced myself to create a YT channel for my Lil Guy, something we had been considering for a while when we realized we had a ton of video files we had yet to edit, let alone upload anywhere. So I went on with the process and was immediately faced with a dilemma as to whether to use my personal email address or create a new one.
I reckoned it was better to have one solely dedicated to it so I proceeded with the signup and chose business use in the category. Somewhere along the process, Google asked me to scan a QR code using my phone for verification. Darn! That was a huge mistake!

I ended up canceling the signup process, not wanting to allow Google to have a record of my phone number. It already knows too much! So I went on with my day but have that "Why-don't-you-just-go-ahead-already?" nagging feeling. Maybe not today...
Meanwhile, the hubby left for the other town in the afternoon. K and G didn't have a ride and there is no public transport here in DD. We thought of lending them the motorbike but none of them had the license to drive so there was no choice but for the Farmboy to drive them home.
Then it occurred to me that it is Saturday and it's goaling time. There isn't much to update but here are the numbers:
Week 7 | Week 8 | + / - | |
---|---|---|---|
HBD Savings | 1,267 | 1,282 | +15 |
Sats | 59,986 | 71,335 | +11,349 |
My main target seems to be falling behind. With 312 days remaining in the year, I should be saving at least 3.90 HBD a day. With 15 added in the week, the average was only 2.14 which means I need to up my game.
The secondary goal of stacking sats is going as planned. The auto-purchase is still in place, buying at least $1 worth of sats daily. I also manually bought some when BTC was at $95k. Slow but it's okay.
So that's about it for the week and here's to living life the best way we know how!🍻
