Magandang Buhay :)
I was just back home here in DD yesterday evening after spending the last 4 days at Mom's and it felt like Friday came so fast when I had not done much, lol! Or maybe it's just me...
We were out for a quick errand on Sunday and after enjoying an ice cream treat along the main road and filling the gas tank, we stopped by one of the grocery stores near the bridge for other foodstuffs we had forgotten.
I was chuffed when I noticed the hubby was slowing down as we got closer to the cool artwork on the shop's wall by the corner. I knew then that my wish to photograph the piece was going to be fulfilled, yay!
Although we had been passing by that area before, I didn't have the opportunity to check it out because either we were speeding or other vehicles were blocking the spot. And each time, I kept wishing we could stop even for a short while to enjoy the colorful wall up close. Thankfully, Sunday's quick run allowed me to see it up close and take some snapshots.
The photo below is the view from along the street. The hubby pulled over right in the corner and I took this shot while I was inside the car. The printed words "Be the solution, not the pollution. Don't spit momma on streets") are a reminder to those who are chewing betel nuts as some of them are irresponsible they just spit everywhere.
Anyway, I didn't wish to miss the chance of seeing the whole artwork up close so while the hubby went into the shop for the goodies, I stepped out of the car and went closer to the wall to have a full view.
Unfortunately, there was no info on who did the piece and although I was dying to know whom they commissioned to do it, I was too shy to ask the storeowner.😊
But yeah, standing next to it felt like being transported back in time into a peaceful village surrounded by amazing nature.💗
Then the hubby came out so it was time to leave. Took one last shot of the hut. I hope the colors remain as they were and won't fade over time.
What they did with the bicycle tires is quite ingenious. I have no knowledge about painting styles or such but this is simply beautiful I can't help but share.
Cheers and until our next art finds! Have a terrific Friday!
