Who is the coolest elder you 've ever met? What sticks out to you in your memory of them?.
One thing is sure and certain in life, from the East, West, North, and South of the whole world....
CHARACTER IS EVERY THING.
NO matter who it could be, rich, poor, wealthy or wretched, character is important. Character is your personality and who you really are. A genuine, great and balanced character is obtainable through patience and intentionality of who every individual at all times wants to be or represent in life.
The instinct to be the best individual is endeawoed within individuals, we only follow the voice of instinct within us with patience and the consciousness to develop and become the coolest or the best amongst others.
To me, the coolest elder or individual that her character sticks to me at all times is one clearner woman. She works with the Nigerian Airport Authority in one of the Intertional Airport in Lagos state, Nigeria.
A confirmed and truthful story has it that this elderly woman of close to sixty years old was doing her job of cleaning and sweeping one morning she resumed for her work. As she was cleaning the men's convenient room that very morning, she suddenly saw a beautiful brief case kept under the washing hand sink, she lifted and opened it, low and behold so much money was stocked inside the brief case...
And it's the most valuable currency every one is desiring to have... The almighty US Dollars she found, well stocked.
What has really stock to me since the news of that event was her contentment, intentional decision to be fulfilled never thinking of taking what does not belong to her despite her little monthly salary as a common cleaner.
What did she do next, You may..ask?. Hehe hee...
This very woman just carried the brief case exactly as it was and reported what she saw to her manager and this her cool action was announced in the Airport asking whoever that has forgotten a brief case of so, so colour should come to the manager's office for interrogation before claims.
The owner finally came after interrogations it turned out that he was the owner. It was given back to the young man.
He gifted her up to $1,000. One thousand US dollars to this poor woman that has never seen huge amount of money before in her life. It was a serious newspaper news that shocked many in this country.
Radio stations, bloggers, newspaper houses and everyone was making quality comments and great conversations about her integrity, contentment, self discipline and the patience of this very woman.
By these character qualities she has trained herself with, the prosperity she has been praying for met her suddenly. Do you realize what it means to be gifted one thousand USA dollars in Nigeria..???
Hee.. hee, she has been made financially, because as of today one US dollar is equivalent to one thousand seven hundred and twenty five naira, calculate it to find out how rich she suddenly became.
Even the presedent announced another reward for her, she was also promoted at her work place for not tarnishing the image of her working place......the reward of a quality character.
This her action and news has ever stocked to my heart..
