Depression is a menace that has been ravaging the human race from time immemorial. Depression seems like it has deferred comprehensive solutions. Reasons being that so many issues and situations of daily occurrence are the root cause of this ... Monster, "depression "

Many people today are being depressed also managing it without a complete freedom from it like hypertension, cancer, diabetes and so many other chronic conditions.

Depression is a thing of the mind, it can be inherited. I mean depression can be genetic. Do you realize some families are not 'a too happy people,"

Everyone there is suffering from one form of depression or the other?'. What?, can this be real?, Yes, there are families like that.

Many family members getting deeply provoked at every little offense thereby having this emotional trauma called depression. It hinders proper planning and achievements. Some are not relating well with one another.

Depression can't be seen or handled but it's tormenting people here and there in their minds, affecting their brain activities, slowing down their productions and results. It renders it's sufferers sad, uninterested to do the needful for best results.

At this point, it's psychological, depression can be caused by the environment where people live, the type of work one does, lack of financial sustenance, debts by the employers to their employees, sack from work, death of loved ones, brake ups from a love bonded relationships, divorce from couples, loneliness, low self- esteem, hearing and telling one'self negative words constantly.

Spoken words are like sponchy foam for washing plates. When thrown into water, it will immediately absorb the water and become very heavy until the whole water is squeezed out, the weight remains.

Our hearts are alive, every word both positive and negative enters into our hearts and remains there until you decide to choose the one that will stay with you.

That's why the holy book advised us to guard our hearts by ourselves because out of our hearts are the important issues of life.

For sure, the fastest way to come out of depression or never getting into it is by personally and intentionally sitting yourself down and talking reasonably to your inner self.

Asking yourself, what are those things causing you depression??. Identify them one by one and speak loudly against them to yourself. Rescue your precious soul, it is priceless, before expecting help from others who may either help you or add to it.

Nobody knows you more than your self and nobody can probably help you out from it like you. There's a slang in Nigeria, people tell others ,

"Enjoy yourself, problems no dey finish"

Really, problems of life can never end so long as one is alife, just make up your mind to causion your mind by stopping to accept negative words or actions personally.

Brush all kinds of negativity off your mind.

Believe in your self. Encouraging your self by noticing those things you have done very well, or you can do very well. Appreciate your effort about things. See your vibrancy in things. Tell your self you are beautiful, energetic, you are precious and priceless, you do not have a duplicate, take good care of your self.

Create your own happiness, eat what you love, laugh aloud to your self, watch movies you love, dance for your self all alone. Choose friends that makes you happy not those that talk down on you... Raise your own self esteem by yourself.

See some values in your self, everyone has value, read books, take a walk, by so doing you will develop a joyful life style free from depressions.

Choose hope and hard work over dispair,

"Aliving dog is better than a dead lion." It's an old adage. Live one day at a time. Save your soul.

By worries, you can't add more life span to your life rather you are reducing the life span given to you.

Stop competitions with those far higher than you are. Life is in phases and people are in levels too.

Be your own therapeutic doctor, heal your self by consciously controlling your mind and habits by your self, you can also drink some amount of water regularly. Look at your self in the mirror and say something positive to your self. just get yourself busy.

Depression is not only for the poor. The rich, the wealthy also suffer depression due to one reason or the other best known to them. They may decide never to talk to anyone else, as they keep pondering over it from time to time, it can turn to depression.

It could be difficult to achieve all these at the instance but keep doing it gradually you will see that you are free from the shackles of the monster, depression.

Do you know it kills, it has made some people kill others and themselves. Some drank poison, some are sick in the hospitals because they allowed themselves to be depressed by one reason or the other.

Do not allow it to your self. Quickly withdraw from depression by making a conscious decision and effort.
