Hello my loves, I have been thinking about the amount of information we consume daily, that impression that everyone is perfect on social networks, and yes, I have experienced the fear of getting lost in a sea of trends, feeling overwhelmed.
But then I remember a phrase a good friend once told me: "Self-knowledge is the best tool to navigate the world".
Giving me to understand that in this sea of information and expectations in which we navigate, having an internal compass (a deep understanding of who we are and what we want), is the key to find our way.
Self-knowledge is like a filter that helps you select what you really need, what nourishes you or what makes you grow.
It is not about looking at yourself in the mirror and saying: "Wow how beautiful I am". Through a sincere conversation with yourself, without filters or censorship, it is about learning to listen to your inner voice and trusting it, without judging yourself, in order to understand how your mind works and how you relate to the world around you.
It is something deeper, being a process of introspection, of exploration of your inner world: your beliefs, your strengths, your weaknesses, your emotions, your inspirations, even your fears.
It is very important to practice self-knowledge because when you know yourself, you accept yourself as you are, with your lights and shadows, which allows you to face life's challenges with greater confidence.
It helps you to create healthier and more lasting interpersonal relationships because you know your limits, your boundaries and your needs.
You can make decisions that are more in line with your values and goals and thus guide you to create your own life at your own pace.
But above all, by having the ability to explore your inner world, you discover new ideas, new perspectives, you become more creative and more capable of creating the life of your dreams.
We already know what self-knowledge is and how it manifests itself, now, what can we do to achieve all of the above?
I use meditation because through meditation I can connect with my mind and body to calm bad thoughts and observe my emotions, always keeping in mind that I should not judge myself.
I also use a diary, which allows me to record how my day went and what I liked or disliked most about it, the things I didn't allow to happen to me, how I contributed value during the day, and whether it was a good deed done for someone else.
Remember that this is a continuous process, a journey that never ends, there is no magic formula or infallible method, the important thing is that you commit to yourself and that you discover yourself as the most important beings in your life, never compare yourself with others, we all go at our own pace.
Then only each one of you will know what is behind a reflection?
If you know any other method of self-knowledge, please let me know in the comments, so we can all support each other.
