Garden.
It has been more than a month now since we moved with my man to Preveza city and life here is so different. It is so peaceful and harmonious here that we have easily acclimate to our new routine without anxiety or pressure at all. One of our new hobbies here is gardening which is something we had never tried before and it has turned out so interesting and pleasant occupation. The crops we planted a month ago have already grown and we are now able to eat fresh organic vegetables like lettuce, fresh onion and arugula directly from our garden. Salad with our vegetables tastes so different from those that we used to buy from markets.
Fruit trees.
Autumn is here and trees has already started growing their fruits around. We have many mandarin orange trees here and I have started cutting fruits every day to eat. Orange trees also have many oranges on them which are kinda sour but I still like drinking a fresh orange juice at the morning. There are also some lemon trees at our yard but the fruits are still green and small so we have to wait more in order to be ready enough.
Olive trees.
One of the biggest props of our home is that we have more than 70 olive trees and almost every year we make our own virgin oil which is so tasty and healthy. This year the trees have a big crop so we will manage to have a good amount of oil for the whole year. It is really important to have your own oil cause you know excactly where it comes from and also you save much money from buying it and the prices nowadays have gone crazy.
Living here like this made me start realizing that growing your own vegetables or fruits is such a blessing and a way of independence. Nature is amazing and the occupation with her is like a psychotherapy.
