It has been a long and busy week over here for the Indie Band Guru. So much to do but a lack of motivation to get it all done.
This happens often when I feel overwhelmed. 😢
It looks like we are losing our lead editor at IndieBandGuru.com to a great position for her as Merch Manager for a great live music venue in Philadelphia. She has been with me for over 3 years now and will be a big loss. No hard feelings though as this is a great opportunity for her and gives me a great contact in Philadelphia to help our bands land shows there.
Fortunately, I already have someone in mind that can fill the Lead Editor position. A great music writer who will help us grow in some otehr needed areas. He is going to Law School for Music Business Law. A much needed but often overlooked aspect for the growing independent bands out there.
Enough business talk. Let's prepare for a great weekend where I will be attending 2 shows in New York City.
David Poe is at Rockwood Music Hall on Saturday. Terrific songwriter that I have been listening to for probably 20 years at this point.
Then on Saturday I will be at Mercury Lounge for grandson and Royal & The Serpent. Two fantastic artists that have a HUGE buzz around them right now. This show will be packed!
