Witness Announcement

Hello fellow Veterans & Hivers!

This post will serve as a Witness Announcement and Community Updates. Yes you read that right.. I am starting up a Witness Server and it should be ready in about 18 hours from now hopefully. Still waiting on the replay/synch up to finish.

I know that a lot of you will probably be asking why.

It's all about serving Veterans that are in need of help. There a lot of Veterans that are ignored and overlooked by the government. Starting this Witness will help in the long run to accomplish goals that have been set.

I have no interest in being a blockchain developer, creating games and etc. We already have a ton of folks who do that. My main focus is community. Always has been.

It's time for me to switch gears and go a different direction.

I am in quite a few communities on Hive. Ever since I joined the other blockchain years ago, I was asked to do things for the community, like serve on that foundation and etc. I have always done what was requested without reservation or thinking about what it would get me. I don't think like that.

Quite a few people on Hive have asked me to be a part of a team making tools and etc. for the community, you know who you are. 😄 Over a year for the last one alone.

I plan on using this Witness to do good things inside the community, and outside in the real world. There are Veterans that are in dire situations right now that need help. You can read about some of our goals here: What If & Cav Token Is Live posted by @enginewitty.

I also want to thank @enginewitty, he has been helping me get the server going and I appreciate all his help and taking the time out of his busy schedule. 🙌

Cavalry Coin News

This coin came about from conversations in the Discord between myself, @veteranforcrypto, @enginewitty and @wesphilbin. At first @veteranforcrypto and I had a chat about creating a coin. This coin had to have a great use case, otherwise there would be no point in creating one.

Another reason for creating the coin and setting it aside from HIVE is branding and recognition. I came up with the idea of using a coin to help homeless Veterans secure housing and perhaps a house bought and paid for, using donations and the coin itself to make it happen.

The coin had to have a great name that would reflect the ideas talked about, and goals that are set. I thought that the name of Cavalry Coin would do just that. I put plan to motion and created the graphics and showed the team. It was agreed that this is the one. The old saying goes.. when you're in trouble you call in the Cavalry. 😀

I created this graphic for use on TribalDex & HiveEngine for buying and trading the Cavalry Coin. The call sign is CAV @enginewitty walked me thru the process getting the coin made.

We have great plans for this coin. With these plans come accountability and transparency. There will be no presale giveaways and personal stacking of the coin by anyone. Everyone is free to get CAV on their own if they wish, but there is no extra advantage to be given to anyone. We will be stacking just like everyone else, and pay for them.

All proceeds and donations will not be claimed by personal wallets. Some of you may remember the charity work I did when creating OLAAT and also working with YAH. Same deal applies here. Full transparency. This is all about helping someone other than ourselves.

No one gets by in life all by their lonesome. EVERYONE needs help every once in a while. Our goal is to use this coin to help Veterans that are down and out currently... and need a hand pulling themselves back up.

I am hoping that a lot of the community will get behind us in this effort. We can't do it alone either. We need everyone to pitch in and lend a hand wherever they think it's needed. Who can't get behind helping Veterans?

I look forward to serving the Community at large, and especially Veterans. I also won't be forgetting about TheAlliance, Poker, Music, Blockchain Poets and all of the other Communities that I am a part of. Be on the lookout for updates and information in the future.
