Hello everyone,
how are you today? I hope all your activities run smoothly and are filled with blessings. Today is really unique, how can I walk so far to find a coffee shop that is far away, full of traffic jams on the road and it's very tiring. Long short story, because of an advertisement on social media, I went without thinking and ended up at Eighteen4 Coffee and Eatery.
I was quite amazed the first time I saw the advertisement on social media, because it was said that this coffee shop was quite unique and there had never been a concept like this in the city of Medan. Maybe I liked the story telling that the content creator said until I finally gave up my time and money for this place. although in the end I was quite satisfied with the place, because it was very interesting to discuss here.
Eighteen4 Coffee and Eatery is on Jl. Bukit Barisan is close to the large campus of the North Sumatra Muslim University, so it is quite difficult to get parking because this cafe does not have parking space for cars. When I arrived at the front door of the café, I saw that there were many motorbikes parked under a wall that said Eighteen4. I had to enter and walk right next to the mini market, so it was quite a hidden gem for the location of this café.
As it turned out today was the second day of the cafe's soft opening, we were given a 20% discount on all food and drinks, so we were lucky enough to get a fairly economical price. I ordered and chose the table that I would enjoy, but before that, I took lots of photos as footage, because this café is quite aesthetic in terms of design.
Because this coffee shop has many places for visitors, but all of them are semi-outdoor, but it is still very cool to avoid direct sunlight. There is a place that looks like a stadium, which is made up of quite high stairs and has boards as tables. Here you will get the wind blowing, quite fresh when you want to enjoy coffee in the afternoon with friends.
There is a white roof that is quite wide, it can prevent direct sunlight, but maybe when it rains it will be very dangerous for you to slip or get caught in the rain and get wet. So, think first before sitting here, but it's best in the afternoon, especially late at night. In front of the stairs, you can see the view of a fountain made of rocks, the sound of falling water is quite calming and it is a little healing.
In the large yard there are also several tables and chairs that you can use too, in one corner there is also a tent and underneath there is a table with quite a lot of chairs. Unique semi outdoor, in fact I've never seen anything like this in a coffee shop in the city of Medan, so the concept is really very unique.
In other semi-outdoor areas, such as a fancy coffee shop, with wooden panels and a little round glass decoration with a back drop of yellow light, the walls also combine various colors, including ceramics with an emerald color which makes it more luxurious. There are many chairs and tables that combine wood with a hint of gold in the accessories.
When we go up to the second floor. We will see that there is a semi-rooftop room that uses AC. So, this is the most sought after place for those who like cool air. Different from the concept on the first floor of this cafe, on the second floor the concept is more luxurious, there are several luxurious details in the use of the interior and equipment, one of which is the hanging lamp and mirror which are polished in gold and rose gold.
Still using wooden accents on the chairs and tables, but there are several sofas in dark gray which make it a modern, classic and luxurious design. Combined with several fake flowers put in a gold iron pot.
Semi rooftop area, located above the building which is open but limited by glass, similar to an aquarium. Sunlight is free to enter, but because it is covered by glass and has air conditioning, it is free from stifling heat from the hot sun, but don't forget to use sunscreen.
It looks very aesthetic even though there are many rooftops from other neighbors which is enough to make this place more unique, if the view could see a wide expanse of trees or mountains from a distance, it might be very interesting. However, this alone is enough to recommend a quite interesting aesthetic place in the city of Medan.
