All my saved HBD is gone! Yes, that's right. I liquidated some of it to Hive for gas fees and used most of them to enter the pHBD-USDC liquidity pool. No, I haven't gotten completely in yet, but, I am confident I'll be in by the end of today.
Hivers lend helping hands
It hasn't been easy trying to get into Defi though, but, I am glad that Hive has a lot of people who are concerned about our various growths. And it's on this note that I want to thank @malopie for guiding me during the preliminary stage, @abdex9 for his advice in between. And finally, I want to thank @l337m45732 for reaching out on discord to help with the rest of the process.
As a result of trying to be a part of the pHBD-USDC liquidity pool, I have learned a lot of things. Being a starter, the whole dynamics felt strange, but, since I like technical things a bit, it was easy not to get discouraged on the way. Also, I had help. With all amount of confidence, I can show another person how to get into the pool. And I am pleased with the learning curve that is associated with the Leofinance community and Hive as a whole.
A step closer to the pHBD-USDC liquidity pool
Once I get into LP, I'll be happy, and completely satisfied, according to @l337m45732, I am one step closer to getting into the liquidity pool and I am already getting excited. I know this is a stepping stone into the Leofinance community and I am looking forward to being a part of future projects as well. As long as there will be something new to learn, earning potential, and a chance to build our beloved Hive, then, I am in.
How saving my HBD helped
Saving my HBD in the early days of growing my account, had been one good move because I am not sure I would have been able to dip my foot into DEFI this early. I still have a lot to learn in this decentralized world and it pleases me to know that I'll learn better if I get involved. By touching, doing, applying, and participating in projects of this nature, you have the chance to learn and evolve.
Thus, I had only been able to get in because I had a portion of my earnings saved. Every time I think about it, I wonder how far we could all go both offline and online if everyone lived this way financially. Setting aside a portion of our earnings as we toil day and night is the difference between us and the rest of the other people in the workforce. After all, we keep hearing that wealth is measured by how much we keep and not how much we earn.
All the financial books I have read had continually advised one to save, but, never to depend on it as a means to generate passive income and ultimately wealth. Instead, we should move them to the investment portfolio we are pumped up about. I could count myself as a good student of those books now because I am living the realities and gospels preached in them. For someone reading this, I hope that you will start being in control of your finances and try to live upon less than you earn. Why? It's one of the ways, that wealth building will be possible for you.
Saving HBD! Moving forward!
Now that all of my saved HBD has been moved into a different project, the next step is to start saving again. And that's exactly what I'll do. This time no one will need to tell me the benefits of consistent saving because I have been a witness to how much it can help me accomplish if I put my heart to it. Not only will I be able to take advantage of the 20% interest rate, but, I'll be preparing to get involved in another project as they show up . This month, my saving spirit will be summoned and I'll give it my best.
What about Power Up?
This promise hasn't changed. Even though I moved my HBD out for the purpose explained above, I still had this promise lying around. To make sure that I power up Hive on every hive power up day till the end of the year. I carefully did my calculations so I wouldn't miss out on this and for this month I kept my promise again. I powered up 11.786 Hive and my stake moved from 914.98HP to 926.766HP. I am super closed to 1000HP and I am already feeling super excited over this.
How about Hive engine tokens?
Yes, I have been doing my best to power up tokens like Pob, and Leo; Vyb is an automated powered up token so that's not a problem. Today, I am sitting at 1685.30656396 staked POB, 31.361 staked Leo, and 786.465 staked Vyb. I know these numbers are quite small, but, I assure you that I'll be committed to building each of them as I progress.
An official fresh start
You can say this is a fresh start for me and you'll be right. Fresh starts sometimes can be scary but if we brush through our fears and take the necessary steps to learn and grow, then, success is inevitable. For May, let's go in here, and give our best shots, we'll all make it out successfully. I am optimistic.
