Hello everyone, let's go to another splinterlands battle challenge and the card of the moment is Lava Spider.
But before talking about the battle let's talk about this card, is it worth having it on your team?
Lava Spider is a common fire deck card with ranged attack that has a mana cost of 3, but I don't think that's enough to want to have it on the battlefield. Let's look at her status and abilities.
From level 1 to level 3 it doesn't seem like a card that would draw attention since having only 1 attack is not a very good thing even for its low mana cost, but from level 4 it already draws my attention since in the silver league where it can be used at this level it has 2 attack and that's a lot for a cost of 3 mana.
In addition she has the snipe ability that allows her to attack monsters with ranged and magic attack as a priority or monsters that are not in first position and she also has a reasonable amount of agility and health as well.
I think it can be a good addition to your team if you're looking for a ranged card with a low mana cost.
Now let's talk about how I used it in battle. First, let's go to team building.
As a summoner I used Selenia Sky, she is a dragon deck summoner that give +1 ranged attack to all her cards on the battlefield and as my battle took place in bronze league and Lava Spider had only 1 attack so this summoner was very useful.
The card in the first position is the Antoid Platoon, as I wanted a tank card for the first position but to form my team I couldn't spend a lot of mana so this was the best choice. Antoid Platoon has a low mana cost and in addition the shield ability that allows him to reduce the damage of melee and ranged attacks when attacked, this means that he will hold up well on the battlefield unless the enemy team has a lot of attacks magicians.
In the second position we have the Radiated Scorcher and its function is basically to serve as a tank when the Antoid Platoon is defeated, but as it doesn't have much health so it won't be very useful but if it manages to attack 1x and hold 1 or 2 attacks it will be pretty handy for just 1 mana cost.
In the third position we have the Serpentine Spy and he will be the biggest melee damage of the game and in addition he will also attack the enemy cards with the lowest hp because of the opportunity skill, but he has little hp and the reason I put him in the third position is that the next cards are ranged so they would become useless in first position.
In the fourth position we have the Lava Spider and even though it doesn't have much damage at level 1, but with the help of the summoner Selenia Sky it becomes quite powerful for a card with 3 mana cost in the bronze league.
In the fifth position we have the Fire Elemental and the card with the most damage in this combination, since with the help of the summoner Selenia Sky it will have 3 ranged attack and with the blast ability it will still deal additional damage to the enemy card behind the one you are. attacked, this means that in addition to dealing 3 damage to the card that attacks it will also deal +2 damage to the card behind it.
And in the last position we have Spark Pixies which also has high damage, but you must be wondering why I put her in the last position if she has only 1 hp, the reason for this is that she has the fly ability and high agility and this will make her dodge many attacks from enemy cards that attack behind, it's risky but very effective and you must have faced her and you must have seen how she dodges several attacks.
This is my combo for this battle, but now let's show you how the battle went.
As you can see in the image above, the enemy has Living Lava and this card is a very powerful tank and in addition he also has the Tenyn Striker card that has the sneak ability that attacks the last enemy card, so with this card he has the ability to eliminate all my cards from behind as they have very little hp.
But as I have much more attack and you can see that the cards in his second and third position have low hp is where Fire Elemental comes into action since even if Living Lava defends a lot the card behind him will also suffer damage, so it's just a matter of time until all your cards are eliminated as my team's offensive power is far superior in addition to agility as well.
This was my SHARE YOUR BATTLE battle this week, and I consider Lava Spider a good card that can guarantee you victory in certain battles, besides it also has a very low value so I think it's worth having it in your hands .
