Wednesday Walk - The Chateau of Coat-an-Noz in Belle-Isle-en-Terre

in #hive-1555302 years ago

In Belle-Isle-en-Terre, there is this chateau located in the forest of Coat-an-Noz. It is said that Lady Mond used to live here.

Here is the story of the renovation of the castle:

The story:

“Since 1949, we have been the sixteenth owners,” slips, a bit amused, Bernard Moreau on the steps of the impressive building. The umpteenth owners who, in four short years, saved the former princely residence from collapse. Because abandoned for ages, the castle of Coat-an-Noz did not look great when the couple from the Paris region discovered it in 2010.

The chateau during spring time

The first time I came here, it was during the autumn season and I was pregnant with my first-born child. This was taken using my husband's phone.

We parked our car one kilometer away from the castle so that we had the time to enjoy our walk.

chat02.jpg

We came back here after the first baby was born. My husband took care of the baby with the stroller and he let me enjoy taking photos during springtime.

It was so cool to take photos because the sky is blue.

Dandelions just sprouting everywhere.

Taraxacum

According to Wikipedia:

Taraxacum (/təˈræksəkəm/)[3] is a large genus of flowering plants in the family Asteraceae, which consists of species commonly known as dandelions. The scientific and hobby study of the genus is known as taraxacology.[4] The genus is native to Eurasia and North America, but the two most commonplace species worldwide, T. officinale (the common dandelion) and T. erythrospermum (the red-seeded dandelion), were introduced from Europe into North America, where they now propagate as wildflowers.[5] Both species are edible in their entirety.[6] The common name dandelion (/ˈdændəˌlaɪ.ən/ DAN-də-ly-ən; from French dent-de-lion 'lion's tooth') is also given to specific members of the genus.

We walked further to see how nice it is from afar. When I posted this on FB, my cousin thought this is our house. Hehehe!

chat07.jpg

I never dared to get inside even though there were no people around. Hehe! I thought maybe there is a camera installed and I don't want to be an intruder. Hahaha!

For the Wednesday Walk, I just enjoyed taking photos of the castle. I hope you like it.

The photos above were taken using an Olympus Tough TG-3. I am planning to buy a new Olympus Tough as the old camera is now broken. This camera can be used underwater and I can also use it for point-and-shoot.

This is my entry for the #wednesdaywalk challenge, hosted by @tattoodjay.

There it is the Chateau I had to wait a week. It looks amazing love that look. Your friend thought highly of you thinking it was your home. A lot of us would like to call that our home, haha

I can own many things here and pretend that my husband and I own them. haha! XD omg, they might think my husband is so rich when he is not. LOL

Ka amazing sa place sis, very picturesque.

Yes, picturesque gyud in the start of springtime. :D

Hehe very lucky naa kay view na ingana.

Nice gyud sya pag daghan buwak :D

Ay ou nice jud na hehe samot ka gwapa sa place.

Daghan pa mga castles dinhi wa pa nako na visit tanan. hehe

One of my biggest dream is to visit a castle in Europe. To be able to roam around and stay on it for weeks because of how massive the estate one day would not be enough. Lucky you dear, you are now experiencing my dream. I have non in particular though as long as it's a castle! A well known of course and well kept and maintained not the creepy ones.😁😄
What I love about castles are their wide and spacious green field like this chateau. I wonder how many rooms does this chateau have. Imagine only the couple and their two children plus their servants were living in this massive structure. I think the nannies would and their au pairs would be having a hard time looking for the children they are taking care of... Haha

Good thing now we have cellphones and intercoms and speakers! Haha

Hirap yata kung yaya ka dito. Isa isahin mo yong rooms kung nasan yong malikot mong alaga!😄😄

Thank you for sharing this to us dear. I envy you having your walks in this beautiful place. Kaganda uy! And also very peaceful lang ba. Only happy, joyful thoughts lang always talaga! God is good!

For the Wednesday Walk, I just enjoyed taking photos of the castle. I hope you like it.

The pictures look like it was taken out of a movie! Hahaha I would love to explore these castles somedayyy 😍

hehe yes, pwede mag feeling Disney princess na din. :D

Oo nga ano ang lakas maka Disney princess ng castle na itu. How;s the interior meron ka bang pic? Or bawal mag take ng pic?

Never ako pumasok kasi bawal yata. Ok lang pag may pa events na ok pumasok mga guests.

Nu ba yan sabihan mo sila na KJ sila charrr

hahaha ayaw ko ma aresto trespassing
