A rich & creamy curry - Pepper Paneer Masala

Today I will share with you the recipe of Pepper Paneer Masala - A perfect partner for rice, bread or chapati.

My family like paneer (Indian Cottage Cheese) a lot and asking me to prepare something new with paneer, so this time I prepared Pepper Paneer Masala curry with paneer, bell peppers, onions and tomatoes.

So lets check out all the ingredients first.

✔ Paneer - 350 Gm
✔ Green Bell Peppers - 2-3 Nos
✔ Tomatoes - 3 Medium size
✔ Onions - 3 Big
✔ Yogurt - 4 Tablespoon
✔ Cashew - 18-20 Nos
✔ Ginger - 1 Inch Piece
✔ Garlic - 15-20 Cloves
✔ Turmeric Powder - 1 Teaspoon
✔ Chili Powder - 1 Teaspoon
✔ Coriander Powder - 1 Teaspoon
✔ Cumin Powder - 1/2 Teaspoon
✔ Garam Masala - 1/2 Teaspoon
✔ Cumin Seeds - 1/2 Teaspoon
✔ Salt - As per the taste
✔ Ghee - 2 Tablespoon
✔ Oil - 1 Tablespoon
✔ Dry Fenugreek Leaves - 1 and 1/2 Tablespoon
✔ Fresh Coriander Leaves - For Garnishing
✔ Choice of Whole spices - Dry Bay leaves, Cinnamon Stick, Cloves, Cardamom

Chop one onion roughly and fry in some oil until turns brown for preparing the gravy.

Soak the cashew in warm water for something.

Chop remaining onions, pepper and paneer into square pieces.

Grind fried onions, soaked cashew, ginger and garlic together to make a smooth paste. Make tomato puree also.

Heat ghee in a pan and add whole spices like cumin seeds, dry bay leaves, cinnamon stick, cloves, cardamom and fry until turns aromatic.

Add the onion and cashew paste in the pan and cook well. After few minutes it will turn light brown.

Add tomato puree and mix it properly.

Add dry spices. Turmeric powder, coriander powder, cumin powder and red chili powder.

Now add yogurt into it.

Now add dry fenugreek leaves after crushing in between the palms.

While the gravy being cooked, on the other side we will cook peppers, onions and paneer in a separate pan.

We will keep the flame on high while cooking the vegetables. Add turmeric powder and garam masala powder.

When the peppers, onions are semi cooked and paneer turns little golden, add these to the gravy.

Mix everything well so that gravy combines with vegetables and paneer.

Add salt. Cover it for sometime and let it cook.

Gravy will cook and become thick. Our Pepper Paneer Masala is cooked and trady. Lastly add chopped fresh coriander into it and mix.

Its time for serving now. You can enjoy your Pepper Paneer Masala with anything like steamed rice, Jeera rice, chapati or bread. I combined it with jeera rice and sliced cucumber and onion.
