Greetings from here to you all Needleworkers
It has been such a long well and I am so excited to publish a post in this community once again let me use this opportunity to wish you all a happy new year since I haven't posted here since the Year started, Hope you all are faring well
Without wasting much time I want to share with you all today the steps I used in making this bubu dress for myself using an old Ankara material that was already used in making a free dress
So this is how I achieved this lovely bubu gown with no stress within few hours
This is what the material looked like before I started
So firstly, I bent the material into two and started the marking process, for the upper part, I marked my shoulder, my burst and body on the material and went down to the hips and marked it too and made an half inch slant for the neck and then cut it out with an additional one inch, this was the front side of the gown and since my material didn't contain the length, I added a material to it
After that I moved to the back, I placed my front side on the material and subtracted the one inch I had added and cut it out and also added a material to contain the length
After arriving at the front and back, I divided the front into two and the sew it leaving 5 inches at the lower part for the slit and for the neck part I made a v of 6 inches
And to the back side to, for the neck , I went in with 1 inches so that it will stay at the back of my neck properly
After everything, I picked up the two parts of my cloth and join them together also adding the rope I had made to the side of the dress
This time , I did all the finishing work, that is bending the hem of the dress and also the hand and some trimmings to give it a final look and here is the final look
At least I achieved this dress and saved the material from staying idle
Its my first time of making a bubu dress , I don't know if it turned out well. How's the dress ?
Thank you so much for reading through my post , I'm genuinely grateful to you all
Have a nice day
