By now I think it is no secret that I love the ocean and I especially love to see the surf breaking on the rocks.
I would like to start today's photos at the break of dawn. It's fresh, it's peaceful and calm.
No rocks, just a calm ocean at the beginning of a new day.
I have taken the first two photos just after sunrise on the beach in Umhlanga Rocks.
It was cloudy but peaceful.
The two photos were taken minutes apart.
I spent some time, walking on the beach, and soon the clouds started lifting and it became a fresh, bright morning.
From here we'll start moving towards the rocky scenery.
The next photo I took was while I was taking a walk on Warner Beach.
It was also a nice, clear, sunny, and calm day.
I loved the white foam from the surf, washing over the rocks...
But let's have some fun. Let's move on to a walk we recently had on the beach, just south of the main beach in Amanzimtoti.
The weather was what many would call "bad weather". It was cloudy and windy and clearly, we had some rain coming. The timing was also good as the tide was clearly coming in.
The surf came thundering towards the rocks.
Masses of water came charging towards the rocks.
The surf kept breaking closer and closer to the rocks and the water started covering the rocks.
The water started coming right up to where I was standing.
I was fortunate enough to catch this "splash" on the rocks.
And this one...
I loved how the water was covering the rocks.
I think I was able to catch this wave for a good shot just at the right moment.
And last but not least, of course, I had a fisherman on the rocks with me...with a nice "splash" to his left.
I had a ball taking photos that day until the rain forced me to leave.
As time goes by, I'll share more of these photos.
Thanks for reading my post. I do appreciate it!
