What is Your Favorite Type of Photography?

in #hive-19491316 days ago

Are you into photography? Are you a professional photographer? Or are you enjoying photography as a hobby? Or maybe you are just taking photos to share your memories with family and friends...

Maybe it's none of the above, but you do enjoy looking at the beautiful scenes captured by other people.

Whatever it is, I would love to hear from you what your favorite type of photography is. Let us know in the comment section below.

Personally, I love hitting the road that will take me out into nature. Whenever possible, I love going to places where there are no other people around...or as little as possible anyway...

It gets me out of the city, away from the rat race, the noise, the rush...

It gets me to places where I can find peace, to places where I can admire and enjoy the creation of God!

I love places where I can hear the sound of water...

The first photo in this post, and the next two, were taken in the Everton Conservancy area, west of Durban, on the east coast of South Africa.

I love watching the water...

To sit down by a waterfall and just forget about time...

This particular waterfall is in Paradise Valley, Pinetown, also west of Durban.

The waterfall in the following photos can be found along the Molweni Trails, also in the Everton Conservancy area.

And how awesome if you can get behind the waterfall...?

And then last, but not least... The ocean.

I love the ocean!

The last three photos in this post were taken during a visit to Ballito, a coastal town, north of Durban, South Africa.

I used to be a pro-photographer as a second job. Specialized in portrait and fashion photography. These days I just do family pictures for ourselves and enjoy other people's work. Great photos!

Thank you for stopping by and for your feedback, @seattlea! I am glad to see that you enjoyed my photos. Coming from someone like yourself, that means a lot to me!

I would say nature like this is my favourite. I have never cared for photos of people but can definitely appreciate a good portraiture shot or even some cool glam or action shots like skateboarding or even those milk dresses they do.

Thanks for your feedback, @penderis! I appreciate it! I prefer nature too. But yes, I also like some good action shots in various kinds of sports. You give me an idea by mentioning skateboarding though. I'm often amazed by the talent of those guys and there is a skateboard facility in Durban on the beachfront, close to where I sometimes take photos. Maybe I should give it a try to take some shots when I go there again!

Thanks for stopping by!
