Hi Hiveians! Today is another day where the sun came up early to shine. At 10 am we had Spanish class for an hour so at 11 am my papa and I wanted to go outside and start our bright morning Wednesday Walk. :)
When we started walking, it wasn't long from the time we woke up, but listening to the birds chirping, the breeze blowing and noticing the sun was up, encourages us to start our walk.
After checking our gardens, we came across a regular coconut palm tree when we noticed 4 holes in the straight tree trunk that looks like someone had such strong fingers to poke his/her fingers into the trunk. I couldn't believe my eyes the first time I saw this. Or do you think this is just a coincidence from the woodpeckers? 😲
It is a bit wet because it just rained last night. Do you think this was a woodpecker or do you think this was a mighty shaolin monk that was practicing his/her fingers strength on trees? I'd be glad to hear your opinions and thoughts in the comments below. 😀
Then we came across a plant called "Areca Palm (Dypsis lutescens)". It's a palm plant that the gardeners often use to decorate places or to surround something with a wall of plants. 😅 This one is near the pool area behind all of the lounges and chairs. I found it very weird but interesting, because it grew a branch on its side but under the branch itself grew roots...
At first sight, I thought it was floating! There are very many other plants of this kind (Areca Palms) here. Though most of them don't grow branches with roots this way. Do you know why they're doing that? Sorry if I'm asking so many questions because it's so rare to find this around our community. :)
This is the sidewalk shot I used for the thumbnail of this post. It's the sidewalk that comes out of an entrance for a building. Behind that wall of the Areca Palms is the soccer field where I love to play soccer and sometimes tag with my friends. :)
Then we turned left from the last sidewalk onto this one. I like the shade the big trees make. How they somehow grow in that direction making a cozy tunnel. The squirrels love to be in this area because there is a mango tree nearby, so does my sister because she keeps trying to climb that big tree on the right hand side haha. 😂
Thanks for coming with us on our walk! I hope you enjoyed it and enjoy the rest of your day! :)
