Hello guys, hope you had a great day. Today i want to about my hometown Abiriba also called small london, there is a reason we called it that. So let's go.
Abiriba is an ancient kingdom from far back and it's actually pronounced "Ebiriba" by the locals. The founder is named Embiriba, he came from a village in calabar down to ohafia, then he fought off the villagers there and got his family a place to stay. He had three sons and one daughter, which later formed the four main communities in abiriba. That's much i can remember about the story an elder told me. But i will soon get more information soon.
I remember saying my hometown is called small London, yeah we also have our small ben.
We have lots of sites, rivers, streams and recreation spots. I forgot about the masquerades and the drinks. In Abiriba, as the culture goes we offer a drink(whiskey, rum or any alcohol) to show they are welcomed and we are very hospitable to people from other villages.

My hometown is a peaceful one, we value our culture and family, that's why after every four years, we all come back home one December. This period is called the big season, everyone no matter where you are must come home and we have lots of celebrations to do. Foods, drinks and everything is enjoyed in that period and if you want to know what it's like, I'm inviting you to my hometown, cause this year december is our big season. So once again feel free to come and take part in another historical moment of Abiriba.
