"Dreams come true when you have the courage to pursue them with all your heart."
One of my wishes during our recent #FamilyVacation in Hong Kong was to bring my family to Disneyland - the happiest place on earth - as its tagline stated. It was our vacation's fifth day, so I opted to materialize this plan because there might be no other chances. Besides, they had never been there, and I was sure they'd be happy to visit the famous park.

Since our hotel was far from Disneyland, it was already midday when we reached the park. The kid fell asleep on the train because we had woken her up too early for this new adventure. She hadn't had enough sleep, or should I say, we always lacked sleep, lol.

The kid didn't mind the noise; she only wanted to recharge. She was saving her energy for the following adventure, perhaps. Below is the train station platform exclusive for Disneyland visitors.

This photo validates my efforts and reminds me that dreams can come true with dedication and perseverance. I planned this overseas vacation last year, and witnessing my family's smiles and joy during the trip filled me with immense gratitude.
Welcome to Hong Kong Disneyland Resort!
There are a lot of stories to share and good memories created during this trip, which I will share with you in the following days. Despite the scorching sun, which, I guess, made my tone darker because we walked outdoors for consecutive days, we happily explored the fantastic theme park.
Before entering the park, the first attractions are the giant whale and Mickey Mouse water fountain. As expected, the kid was startled by the giant whale statue. Although she likes watching children's videos with animals, she's afraid of seeing statues like this before her eyes. So we only spent a short time in this area and proceeded to the entrance gate.

The kid's face is now painted with a smile. I chose the weekday to avoid the crowd, but there were still a lot of visitors during that day. It's not apparent here yet.
Who would have thought that I could bring my family here? Growing up in a big family, I never thought of that, especially since there were other things to put on top of my priorities. But then I said to myself, if I won't do it now, will there be another opportunity? Indeed, you can materialize everything you wish for regardless of the challenges if you have the courage to do so. It's a matter of hard work and perseverance. Just do it practically.
Moving on...
As mentioned above, there are many stories to share during this trip to Disneyland, and this is just a part of them. There are many attractions to visit and shows to watch. Well, honestly, we weren't able to see all the attractions and watch all the shows due to a lack of time. I wished I could extend the day and stop the dusk from taking over after sunset so we could do as much as we could and visit as many spots as possible that day.
Some main shows that visitors must watch are the parades. There are a few types of parades, too. Schedules are given for those, and since I've been to Disneyland before, I was aware that a parade was coming soon when we entered the main gate, so I waited for it. While doing so, we had time to eat the lunch I had ordered from McDonald's. Food is quite expensive in the park, so it's preferably better to bring some before going to Disneyland. Bring enough water, especially in the summer season. Although there are parts with water refilling stations, it is still safer to bring your own. Our 3 liters of water weren't enough for the four of us that day, lol.
The parade started at past 1:30 in the afternoon. There were a few parade themes at Disneyland on different schedules. The parade we watched was the Pixar Waterplay Street Parade, which was scheduled in the daytime. It consisted of Disney and Pixar film characters, such as Toy Story, Inside Out, The Incredibles, Finding Nemo, Up, and others. I wasn't able to take photos of others because I was filming, but a few images were taken in between.
I must say that I enjoyed watching the parade. Characters and dancers on the parade were energetic, dancing, playful, and fun. There was a water play. Some floats and staff were splashing water to the visitors. Gladly, my mother and I brought umbrellas with us so we didn't get soaked during the parade.
Among the characters on the parade, this was my favorite: the cute doggie, Dug, from Up movie. It was so adorable. My niece called it "Bingo." Well, she calls all dogs as Bingo from the Cocomelon video.
This parade was held along Main Street USA, but not in the USA. The street is more like a replica of Main Street in the USA, which is where it got its name. I wish I could go to the actual Main Street, too. This street in Disneyland has an array of souvenir and dining shops on both sides. You'll see them before seeing the Disney castle. I'm just giving you a hint of what's next to this street.
To wrap it up, we had so much fun under the scorching sun! Our encounters with Disney and Pixar characters were beyond entertaining. It was short, though, about fifteen minutes, but we enjoyed it at least.
