During busy days, I often stay late at night to finish my task or at least finish the majority of it. My companion during these long hours are my sweets and carbs combo. Its not a healthy way to cope up with stress so I try to minimize its frequency. But once in a while, i indulge myself with some feel good snacks.

1. Yakult

Aside from the probiotic (good bacteria) found in Yakult, it's unique sweet/ sour taste is also the reason why this is my go-to drink. I am instantly energized after drinking a whole pack of Yakult. And yes, i sometimes drink it simultaneously with brewed coffee.

2. Crackers

These are chips that were deep fried in canola oil for about 3-5 minutes. When i want to munch something in between the quiet long nights, I reached for some chips.

3. Ice Cream

Who doesn't want ice cream on a light night Friday or on weekends? No one. Ice cream is my stress reliver. I tried finishing half a gallon of ice cream in one sitting.

4. Pizza

On rare occasions where we have left over pizza from dinner, i like to sneak a slice, reheat it, and munch my pizza while watching a movie or a series.

During pandemic, I've tried doing intermittent fasting where i skip dinner and only have 2 meals a day. So midnight snack wasn't in my vocabulary. We are also raised in our household to not eat much late at night as it can lead to indigestion. However, sometimes, we really have to indulge ourselves. It's a matter of finding a good balance of being healthy and being happy.

I would like to thank @asean.hive for hosting this well thought of topic for this week's challenge.

That's it for today's blog. See you in my next one!

Sending some love and light
