Hi there, fellow foodies! Happy weekend! One of the best buffet experience i have is in Vikings. My family and i tried their buffet at SM City Cebu recently.
Upon arrival, the line outside the establishment was quite long because it was graduation season so a lot of families who'll celebrate this milestone are expected to crowd the restaurant. While waiting the queue, I took a photo of their logo outside. I realized that they have a tag line that says, a feast from the sea.
Inside was an elegant restaurant that serves hundreds of food selections in different cuisines. I first get food from the main dish section which consist of rice, meat, chicken, and fish.
The most common cuisine in most buffets is Chinese. Siomai, wanton soup, steam buns, and satay sauces are always ever present. Since it was near Chinese New Year, the restaurant decorated the place with Chinese lanterns and hanging angpaos (red envelope).
Filipino cuisine is also present in the buffet set up as they design the section in a Kubo style. Banana leaf, Filipino spices and snacks are also displayed. Most Filipino dishes are grilled or fried such as barbecue, squid, and chicken.
Next on the list is from the land of sushi, Japanese! I opted to skip the rice and ate sushi instead. They have different kinds and flavors that i cant even identify most of them. They also had shrimp tempura but unfortunately, i wasn't able to take a photo.
Italian pastas have a spot in the buffet too. Its my first time eating pasta that is cooked in cheese wheel.
For desert, a whole counter was filled with cakes, donuts, gummy candies, and fruits.
For drinks, they serve an array of selection. from sodas to juices, they have all of them.
This buffet experience is by far the best one for me. I'm so happy to have share it with all of you.
Sending some love and light!
Love, Jane
