His physical departure left an immense void in my heart, now full of memories.
For you, who read this and think that furniture gets dirty because a pet lies on it, you do not know or have any idea of the love varnish that those little hairs on my clothes and furniture give to our souls.
When we adopted Daddy, it was difficult living together at home we had two cats...
But the fact of imagining his fate tied up in a workshop or just taking care of a house filled us with fear. Daddy, when he came into our life we did not know what to do with you, today that you are no longer with us even after several months in the heavenly Eden of pets, we do not know what to do without him. It hurts a lot, when they part, that love is infinite...
It affected me...
With his departure, Galen, went one of my rewards of a hard day's work.
Since then, I was left with this great emptiness, as if filled with nothing, I miss him hugging him, carrying him, playing with him and watching him steal my well-kept stockings. It's been a year since he left, and that already with time he stops looking for me in his gaze. The hope that I will see him again is like the sun that erases the dark nights of his absence, and the illusion that now my heart is Daddy's abode.
I remember when he got sick, I assure you Galen, that he would have given anything to put me in his place and that he would never suffer pain, nor any illness.
Unfortunately his canine spirit was too big and there was not enough space in his beautiful puppy body. We did everything humanly possible to save him and medically the impossible was also done, but the goal was not achieved.
From now on...
I keep giving myself permission to love and be loved by a pet. His heavenly memory is a balm for my soul.
Pets are families, and understanding it, managing it, including it in our dogma of life, makes us great.
