Let me start with this simple statement: I'm not a very good blogger. I don't even know if I know/understand what blogging is completely. I know I like to share what I create with an appreciative audience. That out of the way, let me try to hold your attention and perhaps make you smile.
There are a variety of interests I fill my time with, and I enjoy blogging about them on Hive. Trouble is I never quite know which community my post will best serve.
Today my offering is photographs. I spent a couple of hours with my grandson taking pictures with him in his backyard. Our views of the world are from very different spaces, but the time we spend together is more precious than gold.
Anyway, I got home, polished them up a bit, and got ready to post. But where? A photography community would seem the obvious choice, after all it is primarily about the photographs, but this post is more than that.
It's sharing my LIMITED photography skills as one of my hobbies. I do try to take stunning pictures, but I have to take hundreds to get the few that I post. I'm not very good but I am enthusiastic. So a hobby community would be a better fit.
Still that doesn't quite cover it.
Ultimately, I decided on the Silver Bloggers community because this particular post is not only about sharing the art. It is about how I fill my time with one of my hobbies and how I try to share those hobbies with my grandchildren in the hopes that we connect strongly in our interests.
