I m glad I made it, it was my night shift so I had to make the daytime worth it, so I attended the hive meet up which held at the Agodi Gardens, Ibadan Oyo state, A fun place to be actually, but it was also my first time entering the place, despite spending almost half of my life just across the road. (I go out tho, but not just here, there are actually other fun places to be in Ibadan).
Ok that was me justifying my not going out to @akubillionnaire, well I blame it on the job, HiveNaija made in happen today.
I was out with friends and people I had only met on this platform. Somethings became realer to me I must say. This is family.
Thanks to @nonsowrites, he had been planning this alongside other hivenaija members for a physical meet up. I m glad it held today at Port Harcourt Rivers state and Ibadan Oyo state.
At a point I wished I could be at both places, cos great minds where there too. It was a highlight for me when a video call was made and we saw one another "across the Niger"..lol. I'm sure they had fun too.
Here are some top highlights of the event
1. We shared our various hive stories and how we have come so far.
There was so much to learn here, we all got to know how we struggled at the beginning and how we got help when we needed it the most, the newbies amongst us also found so much light and encouragement to run with here.
Imagine @mistakili @nonsowrites @bhoa and @kenechukwu97 sharing their experiences. So touch in and revealing at the same time.
2. We got to share ideas
How to make hivenaija a more relevant place and supportive as well as grow the community. I believe we can get a 1000 member community soon. We also spoke of new projects to join in and engage with like the leotoken, psyberX LVL, splinterlands and Rabona. @bhoa also spoke of Dcity.
Maybe next time we should make some banners and get some customizations. Something to catch peoples eye.
3. We had some question time
Here I had @lhorgical and @uddydan really dishing out so much questions from their bag and Kene was so eager to answer them, me I was just learning and giving my tips.
It was fun to see a few of my newbies making it to the meet up @emmaba1 @drceeyou @draysax , I really felt fulfilled that they met with some heavy stake holders today.
They got to ask and learn a lot. Hehe.
I can't wait for subsequent meet ups. It should be scarce again.
Some big take homes I could remember for the newbies.
Take your eyes off the money and focus on making real connections with people.

Hive is my biggest investment, it has yielded my capital and even more.

Some of these quotes may have been paraphrased, but I hope you get the gist.
I also noticed that people noticed us, we weren't in that playground to play, people saw how serious we were speaking. Honestly I totally respect everyone who made it to that meeting today. Like @lhorgical also noted, we seem to have developed this bond so easily that it felt like we all had known each other for years.
I felt great to have been at this me up guys. It promises to only get better and better. So if you missed this, there will be more.
