Hello Vibes Web3 music community! It's great to be able to publish my entry for this week. It almost seems like it wouldn't be possible due to the fact that I've been dealing with an annoying sore throat and blocked sinuses. Not sure what caused it, I won't say it is exam fever cause I've never had exam fever or anything, so I just feel it's stress. But then, I know I will be fine.

For this week, I've decided to sing "Mercy Seat" by Don Moen. I've known this song for a very long time and I've sung it a lot of times. The first time I sang this song was when the choir coordinator of my church asked me to score the song, and then I was going to take it as a solo. That was the first time I sang it, and ever since then, I've been singing it for fun and also for more serious events.
However, one thing is that the more I sing this song, the more it never feels easier. Like, each time I try to sing a song that I've sung for a a lot of times, it's supposed to feel more easier, but then this particular one is one if the songs
still doesn't feel easy. But however, I couldn't come up with a different song for this week, so I decided to find a way to make this one work.
I recorded my video entry for this week at home, which isn't my preferred setting due to the inevitable noise distractions. As a non-professional sound engineer, I used a software on my PC to activate the noise gate and minimize background distractions. Although it was a challenge, I'm relieved that it didn't significantly impact the vocals.
However, I did notice that the noise gate slightly affected the 'T' sound at the end of some words.
I aspire to learn sound mixing and engineering skills in the future, but for now, this is my entry
The song "Mercy Seat" paints a vivid picture of someone who feels lost or overwhelmed, finding refuge in God's mercy. It reminds us that amidst life's chaos, we can find solace in divine compassion.
As you listen to this rendition, reflect on the times you've sought mercy and forgiveness. Let the lyrics resonate with your soul, reminding you of the power of grace and redemption.
May this song bring you comfort, peace, and hope.

The Mercy Seat Lyrics
In the darkness, where ev'rything is unknown
I faced the power of sin on my own
I did not know of the place I could go
Where I could find a way to heal my wounded soul
He said that I could come into His presence without fear
Into the holy place where His mercy hovers near
I'm running, I'm running, I'm running to the mercy seat
Where Jesus is calling
His grace will be my covering
His blood will flow freely, it will provide my healing
I'm running to the mercy seat
Are you living where hope has not been?
Lost in the curse of a lifetime of sin?
Lovely illusions, they never come true
But I know where there's a place of mercy for you
He said that you could come into His presence without fear
Into the holy place where His mercy hovers near
Come running, come running, come running to the mercy seat
Where Jesus is calling
His grace will be your covering
His blood will flow freely
It will provide your healing
Come running to the mercy seat
He said that I could come into His presence without fear
Into the holy place where His mercy hovers near
I'm running, I'm running, I'm running to the mercy seat
Where Jesus is calling
His grace will be my covering
His blood will flow freely
It will provide my healing
I'm running to the mercy seat
I'm running to the mercy seat
Come running to the mercy seat
I'm running to the mercy seat.
